"Patio Enclosures By Great Day Improvements is a patio enclosure company that sets up a booth at all of the local home shows and is known as a local company.  The initial meetings with Tom were, of course, fabulous.  The agreement was to do all of the work as outlined above.   I asked about the electrical work because I did not have a contractor and he told me no problem that they have electricians that have worked with them for over 20+ years and that they normally supply an electrician but that I would pay the electrician separately.  I agreed.
4-6 Week Delay in railing - I was told railing would be installed before the 4th of July (I wanted to use the deck and would have small kids over so the railing was critical).  I would send emails and call Tom and unless I did this, I would not get any updates.  Had I knew it would take an additional 4-6 weeks, I would have sought out a local railing supplier but in the original meeting with Tom, he raved about the relationship he had with this railing company and that it would take about 4 weeks.  It took about 10 weeks.  When railing arrived, some of the railing caps were missing.  When the missing caps arrived, Tom came out and installed the caps, they were forced onto the post and are not leveled.
Electrician.  Once Patio Enclosures was paid for the three season room and the railing, it became very difficult to receive a message back from them.  They sent out the electrical contractor to my home in June and he promised to send an estimate of the electrical cost when I followed up with the electrician, he gave me the run a round and said he was waiting for Patio Enclosures.  I sent emails to Tom and it took him weeks to get back to me.   I have followed up way too many times with Tom about an electrical contractor, the last time I followed up was on August 8.  It is now October, and I have not heard from him.
Part of why I chose Patio Enclosures was because Tom assured me of great customer service and that working with his company, I could rely on them to select an electrician to complete the project without having to do this research myself.  My recommendation for Tom is to be more upfront about promises, follow up on open items, and don't make promises that you can't deliver.  Had I known that it would be this difficult, I could have chosen another contractor that I have worked with before from Angies' List who made a bid for the same work.

"Serenity Building was referred to me following multiple estimates I had previously received that did not seem right for one reason or another. The owner, Anthony, was very knowledgeable and upfront and we immediately felt confident with him during our first meeting. Anthony was very resourceful even before the project started by providing tips and guidance on ways to keep our costs as low as possible. Once he was ready to physically start the project, he was always punctual, organized and fully engaged. His crew was reliable too! Anthony is amazingly talented and has a unique attention to detail and you just know he really cares about a quality result...to me that is priceless! His craftsmanship is top quality and I would highly recommend Serenity Building to all. I would hire Anthony and crew again without any reservation. He was also very personable - even my young son said one day (after seeing Anthony every morning for a couple of months) “he is like family”! "They're probably the best company that I have ever worked with and would definitely work with them again. The job was done practically in the middle of a snow storm. The truck that was delivering the sun room was held up somehow in the snow storm. So the owner, the president of the company, was here between 2 and 3 in the morning to take delivery of the truck. I almost fell over, I couldn't believe it. He was out there just before dawn arranging the pieces so his people could come right in and work the next day. They're marvelous people. After all these years, and I haven't done another thing with them, I keep getting calls from them, "How is it doing? How is it doing? Anything you would like to ask?" The work is excellent. They were here for three days. Every person there was someone that I would trust to come into my house. That never happens. But they were here for three days, they didn't goof-off. They knew their job and they did their job. Then the boss came back to make sure that I was happy. I would like them to put another sun room on the other side of the house."

"Dominick from D&J Construction just finished a screened-in, covered 20’x20’ deck for us. It’s amazing! We couldn’t be happier. Dominick deserves a lot of credit for persevering through the pandemic, which led to substantial labor shortages for him. He would usually have multiple crews going, and was down to himself and one other person through most of the construction, and did much of this work himself. Thank you Dominick! We definitely appreciate your sticking with us through this pandemic and finding a way to get this done. Dominick also dealt with significant material shortages, having to run to another state at times just to pick up additional material. Dominick does a great job in treating his customers right; he listens, is courteous, friendly and was accommodating of what we were wanting to do as well as some last-minute changes. The quality of the work was terrific, and we really appreciated Dominick’s attention to detail. We couldn’t be happier with the end result, and the inspectors were pretty impressed as well. Dominick’s quote was very competitive, and he managed really well to that budget. Dominick is very capable, and handled a pretty large job for us from soup to nuts. He arranged an architect for us to work with, and took care of permits, inspections, managing multiple sub-contractors, and construction from footings to framing to finish work. We’ve struggled with general contractors who’ve put us in the middle of working with sub-contractors; Dominick definitely does not do that; he manages the job end to end. I’d highly recommend Dominick to anyone, especially for bigger jobs where you need an extremely capable contractor."

"I contracted with Double D on these projects because of my satisfaction with their prior work for me installing new roof and porch steps railing. I called on a Friday and had representative there on Monday to go over needs for proposal and said he would send to me via email. I received the proposals 9 business days later and accepted them. They came out with two different crews 7 business days later and completed all work within the day. They were professional and friendly and they cleaned up well after themselves."

"I hired Window & Door Outlet to replace nearly all of the windows in my home. Sam was very helpful and not at all pushy. After shopping around I went with Window & Door Outlet as the Sunrise Windows that they sell seemed to have some of the best performance characteristics, warranty, and overall positive reviews. The price was also very competitive. Installation of 25 or so windows took 2 days and was scheduled 2-3 weeks after the order was placed, just as anticipated. I was very pleased working with Sam and the ordering process but the installation has some room for improvement. The installation crew was not Window & Door employees, which I was not aware of. They didn't do a great job protecting and dented or loosened a handful of the window sills as they pryed out the old windows. They also left bits or insulation, vinyl, and shards of glass in the yard. They got the job done and were friendly but there is room for improvement. Also as an FYI.... I opted to get low-e glass since the additional cost was minimal. The low-e coating that Sunrise uses is not great visually (in my opinion). It has a pronounced green tint to it, though others may not find the tint to be an issue. We're getting used to it. In the photo the left window is an original window that hadn't been replaced yet and the right is the new Sunrise window with low-e coating. Overall I was pleased with Window & Door Outlet and would use them again as well as recommend them to others, though request a different installation company."

He had very good knowledge of the mechanics, history and utilities. Report was very thorough, easy for the layman to understand and explanations were super helpful!
