Zoe was the first contractor to call me about 5 minutes after I logged the request for an Electrician to help install 7 smart switches in my home. Zoe came across as professional and since he was the first to call, I asked him to do the work. Zoe and one of his associates arrived at the time I asked. They were both very courteous and professional. They went right to work and did not speak with each other outside of coordinating the work. The smart switches were installed without any issues and I was able to successfully program each smart switch within my Ring Alarm System. I would highly recommend IEW Electrical Services. "Absolute waste of time and money. I scheduled a very simple job - replace two exterior wall sconces (porch lights) with two new ones. The old ones work fine, we just want to update the look. Scheduled service for a date and time and acknowledged there is a $69 service/trip fee which is waived if you have them do the work; no problem. They even called day-of to see if tech could come out earlier than scheduled, which worked fine. When tech arrived, I explained the very straightforward job I wanted done. He looked over the new parts, and I thought we'd be good to go. Then he said that before he did anything he had to do a "safety inspection." An hour later he quoted me a multi-thousand dollar bid to replace all sorts of equipment I had no interest in replacing. And the simple job, if he did just that, would be over $550. I declined, and so it cost me $69 to have no work done and waste my time. I will either do this myself or find a local handyman. Avoid this company like the plague."
