"I recently had my house leveled and the fireplace and chimney were moved 0.9 inches up. I requested to have the interior of the chimney videoed and inspected after cleaning. This was agreed to. The guy videoed the damper area and the top 0f the chimney with his cell phone. That was done only so he could charge me more for the cleaning. Note my chimney has a cap on it. He tore a hole in the screen to put his cleaning cable driven by a portable power drill. with a collapsible whip cleaning tool on the end. As far as I could tell no inspection was performed and I do not think he was qualified to perform and inspection. The video via cell phone was very unsatisfactory. For this service I was charged $399.00 He was the only one that responded to my Anges List request. The last time I got an excellent job done for less by a professional and unfortunately he is no longer in business. "In response to a request for someone to repair my Weber gas grill thru Angi’s list, I was contacted by Plano Masonry and Chimney. I was told they mainly do fireplaces and do not provide this service but recommended Jeffrey. Jeffrey contacted me within 30 min, on the Saturday afternoon before Memorial Day! A couple hours later, the grill was fixed and the brats were cooking! The owner of Plano Masonry and Chimney was awesome, going out of his way to help us. Jeffrey communicated his ETA, kept me informed throughout the repair process, which was quick and successful. He was very personable and we felt comfortable having him in our home. It was reassuring to know there are people willing to go out of their way to help, especially on a holiday weekend! Because of them, we celebrated on Memorial Day the way we had hoped."

We had agreed that he would photograph the the top of the chimney to show me, but he never did or responded to my subsequent requests. I don't even know what he did because the top is not visible from the ground. On windy days, the metallic noise is unbearable, so I contacted him again by text, but he never acknowledge my request. The noise continues. I don't remember the date of the work."

I had a water spot on the ceiling but thought the recent roof replacement fixed that. Chimney cap was sunk in and water was sitting, slowly dripping into the house. They fixed everything. Fireplace is now safe. Very happy with the work."

"I called and left a message with English Chemistry Svc indicating my needs.  Mr. Wyatt called me back the following week.  He explained everything he would do and an estimate of what it would cost, depending on the size of the cap I would need.  He arrived on time and discovered that I actually only needed a screen and not a cap, so the price was lower than expected.  He pointed out things about my fireplace that did not need additional work done, but he wanted to make me aware.  He did an awesome job cleaning up and putting things back where they were around the fireplace.  I am pleased with English Sweep's service and will definitely use for future chimney and dryer vent needs.
