"This review will sound like I was paid to write it, and I was not. Promise! I am just that impressed. I am completely blown away! In a nervous, and frantic panic I called CR Plumbing to get some help. I have never had to call a plumber before. My drain was backed up and flooded my laundry room. It was a disaster. I called and spoke with Autumn, she automatically calmed me down. She was very quick getting all of my information, and getting an appointment set up. She had a way to calm a crazy, panicked, stressed mom out. Her customer service was outstanding as well. Autumn thank you for everything. Within a FEW hours Nick and Nathan were out to my home to fix this huge headache of a mess. I am not kidding, within not even 20 minutes they had it fixed and everything working great! We are a home with an immunocompromised kiddo, they offered to wear booties or take their shoes off, and wore masks. They didn't even have to ask me if I wanted them to wear the masks. As a family who is very worried about germs, they sure did make sure to make us feel comfortable and safe. They even went above and beyond to state they were not sick or experiencing any sickness symptoms. Like REALLY, that was amazing. Nick and Nathan made sure to answer all of my questions, and make sure everything was up and working. They even offered to ziptie my washer drain thing, and take out the towels to the trash that were wet. I did not let them but they offered. Where do you get this customer service? I surely have never had someone let alone a company have this amazing customer service. CR Plumbing, you guys have won my business and will be the only ones we will ever use! "On 2/20/21 a plumber from Dallas Plumbing replaced a faulty dishwasher line cap with a Pro-Press Coupling. On the first day of the most recent freeze, this new cap blew off while we were out of town, flooding our house. We have quite a bit of water damage. I never would have guessed it was this cap AGAIN. This is very poor workmanship!"

"In August 2022, after hearing about DFW Improved on a home improvement radio show, we entered into two contracts with them for a roof replacement and interior water damage repair. These contracts were based on insurance-approved scopes following the 2021 ice storm. DFW Improved began the roof replacement project first. Following the replacement, the roof continued to leak due to their failure to replace the flashings. Despite corresponding work items in the insurance scope (confirmed later by the insurance adjuster's email), the DFW Improved salesperson insisted that flashing was not part of the roof. He threatened legal action if further payment was not made. Prior to this, they presented two identical model shingles as choices, which their own roof subcontractor on-site disclosed. Upon our inquiry via email, instead of addressing the issue, the salesperson accused us of defaming their company. Furthermore, they quoted $900 for a non-existent siding hole and estimated $25,000 for a bookcase, which their own designer valued at $6,000 to $7,000. While the roof leaking issue was still unresolved, DFW Improved began interior work. Instead of submitting the agreed supplement request as agreed, they skipped necessary steps to cut water-damaged drywall. To prevent wasted effort, we instructed workers to stop. The salesperson responded, stating that workers would not proceed with any work not approved by insurance. However, he emailed the insurance company claiming that the work had already been completed, causing significant confusion for us. During the halt period, we sent out numerous issues such as broken air pipes, cracked roof rafters, missing insulation, roof holes, missing felt paper, and a leaking roof. However, we received no response other than prevaricate explanations and demanding for money. We escalated to the DFW Improved upper manager who responded that they are their best team members and disregarded our request for an alternative project team. DFW Improved abandoned the projects and warranties, and initiated separation in December 2022. Both parties engaged in negotiations over separation costs. During this process, DFW Improved unexpectedly sent four individuals to our house, claiming to inspect texture work and demanding payment. Subsequently, DFW Improved placed a lien on our house, and their lawyer sent a demanding letter stating they would auction our house and (quote)“sue Vigorously” if payment was not made, despite the mediation/arbitration clause clearly outlined in the contracts. Under this pressure, we filed a claim in Tarrant County Small Claims Court, where the lien was placed. Later, their lawyer filed a motion to transfer the case to Collin County, where DFW Improved is based. We refused to comply with a demand for $5,000 and the confidentiality requirement during mediation. DFW Improved filed a new case simultaneously in the higher Tarrant County District Court, demanding a new amount of $59,845 and seeking to enforce the lien, providing no explanation for this amount. According to their co-owner's email, their accounting book calculated that we owed them a total of $1,260 (detailed below). During pre-mediation discussions, their lawyer attempted to justify their request for $8k, citing that a significant portion was allocated to attorneys' fees. We did not engage their lawyer to send us a threatening letter containing false statements about suing us without mediation. Their lawyer also declined $65 public mediator service provided by the Tarrant Small Claims Court. Additionally, they unilaterally escalated the dispute to a higher court. We have never been late with their payments. In fact, DFW Improved made a math error by crediting the blind work twice. When we brought this to their attention, DFW Improved spent extra time correcting the invoice, and their salesperson initiated an internal investigation. Any delay was certainly not caused by us. DFW Improved filed a lien attempting to collect the costs again, despite already receiving payment. See the invoice they submitted, which completely overlooks the $35,895.76 payment we made (supported by our bank transactions). —-------------The payment schedule on the contract has major math errors—--------- Payments for the work are due as follows: Contract Total $ 194,972.33 $ 19,497.23 deposit is due at initial design meeting.(10% of the Contract Total) 20% of the Contract Total is due at the preconstruction meeting. 30% of the Contract Total is due at start of drywall repair. ←– we requested halt at this phase and according to texas property code Sec. 28.003. EXCEPTION FOR GOOD FAITH DISPUTE; we can WITHHOLDING up to 110% of the difference between the amount the obligee claims is due and the amount the obligor claims is due. 30% of the Contract Total is due at start of countertop/trim installation. ←–we don’t even have any work for countertop 17% of the Contract Total is due at walkthrough. Remaining contract total is due at completion. 10%+20+30%+30%+17% + Remaining is more than 107%! "Expo Home did a fantastic job from beginning to end. Maurice our sales representative came to our home and very thoughtfully walked us through everything. He helped us to make a difficult and expensive purchase decision. The contract was signed Friday evening and the work was completed by Thursday afternoon. The installers Ricardo and Omar arrived promptly on install day morning at 8am and worked quickly to do all the work by 4pm. They respected our home and kept work areas clean with tarps. Omar especially kept me informed of the progress of the project throughout the day. Ricardo as the lead installer was very skilled in performing the work and knowledgeable about all the details of the project.
