"We used Pyramid to install quartz countertops in our kitchen, as well as a sink, faucet and garbage disposal (also used their subcontractor to install backsplash). This review is about the countertops and sink/faucet/disposal job-- we loved working with Bogi and the project came out beautifully. We didn't see the quartz we wanted in the Pyramid warehouse (although they had a great selection of granite and other stones), so Bogi suggested we look at MSI near Dulles. Bogi ordered the slabs we selected from MSI, coordinated the plumber to come when the counter top installers were ready for him, and even had them come back to clean up after the backsplash was installed by their subcontractor another day (he left some spilled grout on the countertop that we didn't notice until after he left.) The workers were clean, courteous and efficient."

"We had a great experience with Granite Works. We contracted our countertop work on July 28th. We feel very fortunate to have met Art. He is very professional and not a high pressure sales person.  He was more of a designer and he took us out to the slab yard helping us find slabs that matched our kitchen design and equally important budget.. We were able to use their sample cabinet materials and coordinate them with the slabs, colors, movement and patterns.  He advised us on the best cuts, edgings, care, etc. Once we selected the granite within a few minutes, Art presented us with an estimate on the spot.  We placed a 50% deposit and the next day the office assistance called us to schedule our on site template. The template process was easy and thorough. It is very helpful if you take your kitchen photos with you and your detailed measurements.  That way your estimate is accurate and Art can help you with balancing movement, appropriate area for seams, if any.  Granite works provided the granite, onsite measurements, sink options, bull nose edging and included all cut outs, plus an Angie's List discount. Our price was $2500 less than a company in  the Mt. Airy. Within a week we had a template completed, in two weeks the fabrication of 2 slabs, and the installation of occurred on  August 9th. In 1 day! We elected to forego their 4" backsplash option and we designed and installed our own. Art's design consultation was very helpful.  After we finished 1/2 the backsplash we sent Art a thank you email with a photo.  He was so surprised and we were surprised and happy 1) he remembered us, and 2) he liked our natural stone tile work.  We recommend Granite Works for quality, professionalism and price.  Good luck and thanks Angie's List. "I'm very happy with the results of our work and I think working with Oscar gave a nice balance of service, price, and quality. His prices were very competitive compared to other quotes. I've shared a bunch of detail here because I found it hard to make sense of reglazing services as I was shopping. Hope the review helps you. The end results of their services were excellent. The tub and tile look brand new, and the old cracks and chips have basically disappeared. Service was somewhere between good and excellent when you put it all together, just communication was a bit bumpy along the way at times. Oscar stuck with it until we had a plan in place, immediately followed up to get repairs done where the initial work on some of the crack repairs needed improvement, and immediately offered a discount for the inconvenience. Here are a few things to keep in mind. 1) Oscar will provide a quote based on pictures you send. If you have a simple job e.g. reglaze a tub or tile that do not have any cracks, I would expect this to go very smoothly. In my case we had some repairs that needed to happen and the text communication / quote was confusing and took some time to get locked down. 2) There's not a lot of hand holding so you need to get yourself comfortable with how the process works and the results you can expect. It was new for me, so that took some faith. 3) People talk about fumes, needing to get out of the house, etc. I was surprised how little odor there was. They use a fan to vent the fumes out a window. 4) On that front, keep in mind that they will need to run a flexible duct to a window that is not in the bathroom. We didn't know that. It's messy and we had to clean up the room where the fan was. 5) The repair work to the cracks in our tile needed to be redone after the first try. It felt to me like the initial work was pretty sloppy, but I don't have experience with this so it may be the nature of the process that you need to do a rough finish, then come in and sand / shape the repair, and touch up the paint. You might just want to ask Oscar. 6) The guys who did the actual work didn't clean up after themselves (and this is why I only rated "professionalism" as "fair"). There was dirt on the floors, tape residue stuck on tile, fixtures, and the floor, and paint overspray on walls, fixtures, and the floor that I had to clean up. No good excuse for that - just recognize you may need to do some heavy cleaning after they leave. 7) It was all done in a day, then Oscar came back the next day to do repairs. Okay, hope that helps someone out there!"

"My experience with Advanced Granite Solutions was great from the start. I found them on Angie's List and visited the store soon afterwards. I was able to view the granite slabs and spoke to Matt briefly while I was there. When Matt came to my house to measure my countertops, he remembered my name. I was impressed because there were many customers in the store the day I visited and my appointment was a week later. I received my quote the same day and I also scheduled my install. A few days before the installation date, I decided to add two additional cabinets to my kitchen. I contacted Matt via email and he told me that wasn't a problem and I should contact him when I was ready. I did a month later and my second measure and install date took place rather quickly. I also received the sale pricing from my initial quote. My countertops are beautiful and I cannot be more pleased with the service I received from AGS. Each person from Matt to the installers were courteous and professional."

"They quickly assessed our situation, explained the required repairs, and worked with us to choose materials that would complement the existing out of production tile. In addition to repairing the water damage and restoring the look of the shower, they repaired the drywall behind the shower wall, painted, and installed a ceiling fan. The work was performed quickly, and they did a good job. We are pleased with the results. "Time for some home remodeling. Master bathroom.. We went to Home Depot and Lowes to see what their selection of marble and granite was for the large vanity top and we were underwhelmed. So I saw one of their ads come in our mail and it was not too far from our house so we stopped in and wow... what a selection. They have a nice showroom up front.. I am going to guess about
1,800 sf. But what is really impressive is their attached warehouse.... 20,000 sf of finished slabs, marble and granite, in every color you can think of....beautiful stuff. We met Marina Placido and she walked us through the process and then cut us loose to wander the slab warehouse. We found a beautiful piece of White Carrara marble. It is now the most unique piece in our house. The pieces were finished on time and at an affordable price. Architecturestones.com does all the cutting in house and will install the pieces at your home. We will be back when the kitchen project starts in the spring for tile countertops and cabinetry.

When I first started my search for a kitchen remodeler, I wanted one company that handled the entire process from design, cabinets, countertops, installation, electrical, and plumbing. American Kitchen Concepts fit that requirement. Dan Millard, owner of American Kitchen Concepts, helped me envision various layouts and options, before I ultimately decided upon the final design. He had many cabinet, countertop and hardware samples to choose from. He made the selection process easy and stress-free. At demolition, his crew was courteous and respectful.
