Small jobs welcome

"Jeremiah came out and tested the air and moisture and other items to determine if I had mold in my basement. After getting the test results there was evidence of mold and he recommended a company that provides a do it yourself kit for mold remediation. (Not cheap). After getting the items and realizing that there was more work, it would have been better for me to let my insurance company handle this as I do have coverage for mold/fungi. Though having a professional do the work is expensive, from what Jeremiah mentioned, it does not guarantee that the work will be complete or the source of the problem taken care of. He mentioned most companies will take care of the mold but not necessarily the cause of the mold. For this I would have to contact another company."

"The inspection went very well and the inspector was very knowledgeable and professional. The inspection uncovered an ongoing problem we were having in a section of our home. The inspector explained the process on how the inspection would be carried out, types and cases of mold, and remediation steps. He was timely, dressed in protective gear and was very careful in our home. The test results we’re back as scheduled and he went through the report with us to ensure we understood the results. Thanks for a professional job well done and for locating and solving our issue."

"The Inspector was great, but They only inspect for Mold and send to lab for results. They do not remediate, and they charge extra to provide a remediation directive/recommendation to have mold cleaned up or removed, dissappointing."

"I can't say enough good things about East-Tex Eco Services and Marc Patel. Marc handled my 4-room mold remediation after Harvey. I called a bunch of places for bids, and East-Tex was - by far - the most professional company I dealt with. On top of that, they provided the most affordable estimate. They performed the work quickly and did an exceptional job, as evidenced by the fact that the testing company said the follow up air test was the cleanest result it had ever seen. No one wants to deal with a mold remediation, but East-Tex made the process as stress-free and smooth as possible. You won't regret hiring them."

"Went well. Found a few issues but easy fixes. This was a pre inspection to selling our home. Upfront about what other inspectors may or may not ding on their own report. Would use again!"

FAQs for mold & toxic material test projects in Galveston, TX

Some companies offer a no‑cost phone or video consultation that screens for red flags. If the discussion points to a real issue, the pro will recommend a paid on‑site inspection. The complimentary call clarifies whether you need full testing, but it isn’t a substitute for samples, lab work, or a written report. Always confirm what the free service covers before you schedule.

A standard inspection, which includes basic air and surface samples, takes an average of two hours. If the pro needs to probe hidden spaces, such as wall cavities or ductwork, plan on up to six hours. Extra time allows the inspector to reach tight areas, collect additional samples, and document findings. Lab analysis is a separate process and often adds several business days to the overall timeframe before you receive the full report.

Mold thrives where moisture lingers and air flow is poor. Common hotspots include bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, window sills, HVAC vents, fireplaces, crawl spaces, and enclosed attics. Check these areas regularly—especially after leaks or high‑humidity weather—to catch growth early and avoid costly repairs.

Unchecked mold can knock 20% to 37% off a home’s market value because buyers worry about hidden damage and health risks. Even after remediation, visible staining or a history of major moisture issues can still lower offers and prolong the time on the market. Addressing mold quickly protects both your property’s structural integrity and its resale appeal.
