"Everything went great, he quoted quickly with reasonable pricing. He was able to start the project that next week, asked a lot of questions so he made sure to understand exactly what we needed. He finished in a reasonable tone frame and cleaned up nicely. We are very happy with end result!"

"Everything about this project was amazing we can hardly believe how extraordinary our house now looks. The job was done earlier then expected even after we made some last minute changes. We had the flooring done in 3 rooms and a hallway, the galley kitchen and living room turned into one large kitchen and dining room, paint in the new living room, hallway kitchen and bathrooms done, a window and 3 doors replaced as well as the floor lifted and leveled in 2 places. We had floors that squeaked quite a bit and he was able to get rid of them all before installing the new flooring. He was patient with us when we decided to change a few plans last minute such as paint color, moving a beam from the ceiling to above the ceiling. When the current living room/ kitchen was being demoed it happened quickly and cleanly. He was able to lift the floor to the living room side up to match the kitchen after tearing out the fireplace. It is hard to believe we have the same house it looks like it was always meant to be this way."
This picture is after the window has been installed and trimmed out.
First picture is what the exterior of this home looked like the day we started. As you can see there is even a missing window.
This is today after 2 days of working on this home. Everything is sealed up, water proofed, window installed, and majority of the siding is complete.

"Excellent! I had certain ideas where some were good and some not so much. I appreciated how different ideas were shown without feeling I had lost my choice of a kitchen. I love the cupboards I choose and the installation was flawless. I would recommend Stonebridge Kitchen and Bath to anyone. In fact, they are designing the kitchen in our cottage and I can’t wait!"

"It was perfect. I hired Roger because I trusted him. His company did work for me in 2013 and I was very pleased then. I am even more pleased now! I thought I needed to replace the siding all the way around my house (it's 40 years old). A neighbor painted his and, while it looked okay, the painting was so expensive that I thought I'd see if there was an in-between solution. Roger said he could replace just the south side (first and second floor) and match the existing front and back. I got home tonight and the work is PERFECT. The south side (attached garage on lower level, my office and a bedroom on upper level) have new siding that perfectly matches the 40-year-old stuff AND everything looks new. They did a wonderful job sealing up everything tightly and I couldn't be more pleased. Roger visited this house twice to look at the work as the job specs changed (I kept asking questions and I had some brick work done in between). He was on time, charged a fair price, and confirmed last week that he would be here today. I didn't call or expect a call yesterday, and I had an early appointment at a client's place this morning. Roger called me first thing to say his crew was at my house and he was heading over to check on things. We talked about the job and he informed me that my office window had some messy caulk - he cleaned it up and made sure it was sealed tight for winter. I would hire this company to do any sort of remodeling work and I'm thrilled."

"The salesperson was on time, did not waste my time, provided me enough information on the windows, and the price was very fair. I signed up on that day. They came out on the day they said they were going to and did the job in one day. The cleaned up. A year later, I had one problem with the trim and they came right out and fixed it and looked at all the other windows. You can call t hem just to inspect. I had a window that broke and I called them and they came out and replaced it. They showed up on time. I have been very happy after five years. They have a lifetime guarantee."

FAQs for laminate countertops installation projects in Garden City, MI

With the right care and a professional installation, laminate counters last 10 to 15 years. Wipe up spills quickly, clean with a nonabrasive product, and keep hot pots off the surface to prevent warping or scorch marks. Limiting prolonged moisture at seams also pays off. Your installer can walk you through simple maintenance habits that will help you squeeze every year out of your new counters.

Yes—if the existing laminate is solid and level, a pro can bond a fresh sheet right on top. They’ll rough up the old surface, apply the correct adhesive, and make precise cuts so the new layer sits tight. Skipping steps can lead to bubbles or weak seams, so this project is best left to an experienced installer who has the tools to deliver a clean, durable finish.

Absolutely, you can give tired laminate a facelift with paint, tile, or a concrete overlay instead of a full tear-out. The key is thorough prep: clean, degrease, and lightly sand so the new finish sticks.

Follow the product instructions for primer, sealers, and cure times, or hire a pro if you’d rather avoid the mess. When done correctly, these updates freshen the look and add a few more years of useful life.

Mix baking soda with just enough water to form a paste, then spread it over the stain and let it sit for five minutes. Wipe away with a soft, damp cloth—don’t scrub, as abrasives can dull the surface. Repeat if needed. For stubborn marks, ask your installer about cleaners made specifically for laminate.

Laminate isn’t built to battle the elements. Water, UV rays, and temperature swings quickly cause swelling, fading, and mold. Even a covered patio won’t protect the material for long. If you’re planning an outdoor kitchen or bar, skip laminate and choose a weather-tough option like stone, tile, or concrete so you don’t end up replacing your counters after the first season.

Traditional laminate isn’t the greenest choice. Most sheets rely on plastics like melamine and can emit trace VOCs over time. They also can’t be recycled at the end of their life. A few brands now use recycled pulp cores, but plastics still make up much of the product.

If sustainability tops your list, consider natural or recyclable materials such as solid wood, stone, or recycled glass instead.
