"Excellent - start to finish. Ted came out and assessed the problems and explained clearly what needed to be done. He responded quickly with a fair and detailed quote and the office put me in the queue for the work. There were a couple of weeks where I was going to be unavailable and they took note and scheduled my work around those. Jose completed the work beautifully -- kept the house clean and protected, was a pleasure to work with and was always on time and happily explained the whole process as he went. Definitely recommended!!"

"Wayne is great and his crew does outstanding work. The price was competitive--you get what you pay for. Wayne and his crew arrived on time, he carefully supervised the work they were doing (including doing over anything not done to his satisfaction!) and the work was completed within the time frame estimated. This is the second time I’ve used them and after seeing the job they did, I can truthfully say that I will never paint another house myself—my painting skills can’t compare. They were patient with the changes I requested. While painting the interior they had to work around me and my pets every day, leaving us enough rooms to live in while they painted. You can’t go wrong choosing Web’s Painting and you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner!"

"Overall the job took the better part of a week and from our perspective was a success.  Ryan worked with us in selecting <br /> the right color for the stain.  He carefully removed and replaced the numerous potted plants we had on the deck and left <br /> the work area in a clean condition.  The patio and balcony look great and our only regret is that we didn't do it earlier."

"Method fabricated a wrought iron 10 foot double door locking driveway gate. Matched color to adjacent house paint After agreeing on a price, I was told the gate would be ready within 7-10 days. Six days later the gate had been created and it was installed a day or two thereafter. In fact, it took much longer to receive the new locking handle and dead bolt which I ordered from an online supplier than it took Method to fabricate and install the gate. About 10 days after the installation I phoned the office to say that I had received the door knob & deadbolt, and the company owner arrived about half an hour later to install them. Bottom line: negotiated price was fair relative to the market, quality of fabrication, installation & overall service was excellent."

"EXCELLENT! After two contractor turn-downs (too busy to take our work), one way-over-priced quote, and two proposal no-shows, we were DELIGHTED with the responsiveness of Brik-Art's owner/president, Craig Beardsley, AND with his proposal for our job! My husband & I LOVED working with Craig & his entire crew, especially the crew supervisor, Charlie. With a job this size and varied, it was inevitable that clarifications & changes would be necessary along the way, and things went well every time. We really came to appreciate Craig's & Charlie's experience & expertise, as both made EXCELLENT suggestions to help us realize our vision for the project (including paver style selection), and the results drew compliments from both neighbors and passers-by! Hiccups were few and were handled efficiently. The crew arrived punctually every morning and immediately set to work - and worked hard all day. Charlie integrated the masonry work with my husband installing a drip system in the new planters, and with our wrought iron contractor for installation of a new driveway gate and front & back porch hand railings. Craig either came by the site or called almost every day. They were all pleasant, friendly & respectful, and cleaned up after each day's work. We were SO pleased with Brik-Art's work that another project soon took shape shortly thereafter - in fact, the Brik-Art crew is now working with us on another wall/fence replacement and planter for the back yard! I should mention that we believe we're "partners" with our contractors, and owe them our respect & attention as the job progresses - and that this is critical to the overall success of the job. At least one of us is always on site to answer questions or clarify details/instructions. We're a retired aerospace engineer & aerospace subcontract manager, and carefully wrote up our "job spec" - and STILL had much to re-consider & clarify as we went along. We appreciate the crew's labor in the hot S. Cal. sun, and provided a cooler full of cold drinks, and a shady place for the crew to have lunch."

"We got the estimate in November, 2014 through Home Depot's install services. They would not schedule an appt for after hours or weekends, so I had to take time off work to meet the sales rep and get the estimate. We had 11 ft of space between our old fence and the sidewalk on our side yard and we wanted to expand our backyard area. I asked the sales rep what code was for placement back from the sidewalk. He did not know (which I found interesting for a fencing contractor). I told him at that time we wanted to be within code or very close so it did not cause issues later. Again, he did not know. He spent more time discussing how great Borg Fence was and all the Home Depot business they were getting and not spending enough discussing our fence. He provided a quote which was slightly higher than other quotes we received, but the sales rep from Borg said he could get us 12 month same as cash financing with Home Depot. We decided to wait until after the holidays at which time I contacted the City of Roseville myself to confirm set back (5') and height limits (7') for our area. Once I obtained that information I emailed it to the sales rep and asked if we could schedule the job. At the same time, I had let him know we had received a coupon from Home Depot for a 24 months same as cash deal for services and asked if we could use that coupon. He thought we could and for me to email it to him (which I did) and we scheduled the date. <br /> The crew arrived as scheduled, but when they started laying out the holes for the posts, they were laying them 4' from the sidewalk instead of the required 5'. They had already dug two when my husband stopped them and pointed out that it was too close to the sidewalk. They said that was what the sales rep drew on the drawing. My husband had difficulty discussing with them where the posts should go as none of them spoke very good English and they had to resort to pointing to the dimensions on a drawing from the company.  So he called the Production Manager (who was out that day) and left a message for his backup, then he called the sales rep, but had to leave a message there as well. The Sales Rep called back and spoke to my husband  and during their discussion (in which the Sales Rep took an uncalled for hostile tone) the Sales Rep stated that we never discussed a setback from the fence, that he was never told of the requirements, and that they never go by code, only the wishes of the customer. He did call the crew and had them move the holes to 5' as requested, but only after much agruement and the threat of them charging more. <br /> Then they started removing the old fence and we noticed they were sawing off the posts at the ground and buring them instead of removing them completely. We again called the rep to discuss why the posts were not being removed, since the quote stated it included "tear down and haul away of old fence". We made a point that a reasonable person would understand that removal of all of the old fence would include the concrete and entire posts. His response was "we never do that, we just bury them". That if we wanted them removed it would be an additional $50 per post (we had approx 14 posts) and he said it would another day to the job. My husband had taken a vacation day off to be there for the job. He could not take another day without prior notice. Even though we argued with the rep, he was not budging on his stance and since several posts were already now in place, we had them complete it . The fence was completed and looks great. The crew cleaned up everything and finished in 1/2 a day. <br /> I would like to point out that the crew were courteous and respectful, even after having to move the two posts and all of the drilled holes. The biggest issue we have is we want need to have additional work performed (landscaping the new back yard area behind the new fence) in the yard, but will now have to remove the posts that remain for some of the new plants to be planted. Then, to top it off, once the charge was processed through Home Depot it was only setup as 12 months same as cash, not the 24 months with the coupon I had provided. This was resolved by me calling Home Depot credit and having them apply the 24 month coupon. One more thing the rep did not listen to me on. With our experience with the Sales Rep being what it was (disrespectful) we would not currently recommend Borg Fencing to anyone for fence work in our area. <br />"

FAQs for deck, fence, patio or porch clean and seal projects in Gardena, CA

You should clean your deck before sealing it. Cleaning before refinishing is critical. If you don’t remove dirt and debris, you'll trap moisture in the wood, which prevents the new sealer from working correctly and can lead to costly repairs. Whether you need to sand, power wash, or sandblast depends on your deck's condition.

Sealing and staining your deck are essential maintenance methods that protect and beautify your outdoor space. Stain adds rich color and guards against fading, while sealant fortifies the wood against moisture and weather damage. Wood type, climate, deck age, and the degree of existing damage determine whether your deck benefits from one or both treatments. Using both options extends your deck’s durability and enhances its overall appearance.

Power washing and sealing your deck costs $500 to $1,700. This process combines the removal of stubborn dirt and debris with a protective seal that preserves the wood’s integrity. Effective cleaning eliminates harmful buildup, and a proper seal prevents moisture damage and wood decay, ensuring long-term durability and reducing future repair expenses.

Your deck must be sealed every one to three years to maintain its strength and appearance. Regular sealing is essential to protect the wood against moisture, mold, and harmful UV rays. A consistent sealing schedule prevents rapid deterioration and costly repairs. Inspections should be performed annually to determine if the protective layer remains intact, extending the life of your deck.

Leaving your deck untreated compromises its structural integrity and safety. An unprotected deck rots quickly due to moisture and environmental exposure, which means that neglecting sealing results in rapid decay and expensive replacement costs of $4,125 to $11,650. Sealing your deck is essential for maintaining its durability and protecting your home.

The sealant on your deck dries within a few hours and reaches full cure within 72 hours before regular use. It is essential to wait until the complete curing period to ensure the protective layer fully sets and resists weather and foot traffic. Proper drying guarantees that your deck is fully protected against moisture and environmental damage, ensuring lasting quality.
