"I cannot thank and rave about Michael enough. My husband and I bought our first property and needed someone to fix some issues before we moved in. We had zero experience with home improvement projects or contractors and initially went with Michael out of other people we spoke to because he was communicative and professional. That one decision to work with him was the best decision we made through my this process. Saying that we felt taken care of from start to finish is and understatement. Over the course of a few weeks, Michael transformed our apartment. He communicated any issues that came up as he and his crew worked and would give us solutions at different price points and never pressured us to make s decision that was out of our budget. For example, our baseboards were from the 1950s and needed to be replaced. However once they were removed, the crew quickly realized that any new baseboards, which are about half the thickness of the 1950s ones, would reveal a gap in our flooring and would likely mean that we’d have to replace the floors (that weren’t in good condition anyway but I wanted to try to keep them because they were hardwood). By the time we got to the apartment to talk through options, Michael had already done so much research on our top ions, including calling multiple custom baseboard vendors to buy thicker boards to cover the gap because he knew I had said that I’d wanted to keep the floors. As a first time property owner with little knowledge on possible solutions, we felt fully taken care of by his expertise. After weighing all the options, we ended up with new baseboards and new engineered hardwood floors and we could not be happier with the results! Michael goes above and beyond for his clients. When I picked a paint color and decided that I had made a terrible mistake and wanted to repaint the walls white, I reluctantly told Michael thinking he’d be annoyed. His response was white the opposite—he came over 15 minutes later on a Sunday afternoon with books of paint color samples and reassured us that everything would be okay and finished on time even if we repainted. It’s was so comforting to be supported in what could have been a stressful delay. He even helped us pick a paint color and we’re obsessed with it! Finally, Michael’s communication snd professionalism continued throughout the entire process. He was always available to talk about ideas, help us make decisions, or offer guidance when we needed it. At the end of job, he gave us a copy of every receipt from the purchases of the materials as well as an itemized receipt. He truly was a pleasure to work with and we were sad to part ways but we’re already saving up for a bathroom and kitchen refresh and know exactly who we will be calling—MK General Contractor!"

"We have had DDP (Dariusz Pardo and his great crew) do substantial projects for us since 2015 - interior painting and kitchen remodel for my motherâ s condo, exterior painting of our house - so when we decided to do a major refresh and renovation of our house, DDP was our first choice. That was a smart move! After much discussion and thought, we agreed on an expansive project list. * New kitchen: cabinets, quartz countertops, crown molding, ceramic backsplash, porcelain floor, ceiling and under-counter lighting * Replace hardwood floors (rip out hardwood, screw down sub-flooring, install and finish new flooring) * Replace interior doors (19) and door moldings * Replace all baseboard moldings * Build new Pantry and laundry room closets and remodel all other closets * Family Room: Design and install new in ceiling lighting, and install new laminate flooring * Replace all electrical switches and outlets, and install several new outlets in kitchen, bedrooms and family room * Fix creaky stairs * Adjust step height of several stair steps * Paint every room and closet, which required resurfacing of many areas that had deep cracking/peeling of 60 years worth of paint. * Design and install plumbing for a new water softener system, and install system * Install new natural gas Hot Water Heater including leak detector with automatic water shut-off. Along the way, Dariusz made numerous helpful suggestions and incidental improvements, driven by his high standard of design and desire to deliver the best possible results. The projects took about 13 weeks to complete - pretty quick for all the work that was done. The end result is spectacular - we have transformed our tired old house! We are delighted with our new home! Friends and family who have visited are amazed at how beautiful everything is, and how many improvements were made to make cabinets, closets and other spaces much more useful. The kitchen tops the list. We LOVE our new kitchen! It looks beautiful and all our friends and family agree. In fact, a cousin who visited in October told me that she â covetsâ our kitchen - and that is passionate praise coming from a pastor! Bottom line: donâ t hesitate to engage DDP for any project. "Installation went on without a hitch, however it has been about 3 month since the installation and we are starting to notice some issues with the installation (waves on the floor from the adhesive, some edges not fully glued down).
