I went to Paramount on the advice of a friend who had used them. From the start they were very helpful. They answered any and all questions I had. I looked at multiple granite places, and I ended up selecting my granite at another business. Paramount did an excellent job coordinating the delivery of the granite to their site in a quick and efficient manner. The gentleman that came to measure our kitchen was professional and on time. Paramount allowed me to come down to the company and they put up all three slabs they were using for my kitchen and put the template of my counters, island and desktops on them. They were patient and helpful in deciding where to cut the granite to get the maximum effect I was looking for. (Lots of movement). Along the way, I made changes - edges of the granite, backsplash changes and added sinks and faucets. They patiently updated my invoice and emailed me the updates to the project within an hour every time.  I never felt they were frustrated or upset with me, and they treated me with respect. The installers were on time and professional.  They did an excellent job and I love it. I have had many compliments on them and wouldn't change a thing. I called Jim in a panic.  I explained that the crew from a tree service  just left our house, having cut through our chain link fence in two places to remove three small weed trees from our yard.  The problem was, that fence separates our yard from our neighbors' yard -- and their two dogs, who would be running around the yard in about six hours. 

I desperately wanted that fence fixed before they got home.  I told Jim my story, and he promptly called one of his project managers, who left a job on the other side of town to come over and fix our fence.  I couldn't have asked for better work or a nicer guy to do the repairs.  "

"I got four estimates from different Angie's list providers, and Hal stood out head and shoulders above the others from the start. As we discussed the project I could tell he was looking at it not only from a practical standpoint, but from a design perspective as well. He took notes and measurements and said he had some ideas, and he'd have to figure out the numbers and get back to me. Less than a week later we met again to go over his ideas and get the project on the calendar. He was extremely flexible with my schedule, agreeing to delay the start more than a couple times as other yard projects were juggled along with my out of town travel. Once work was started Hal and his crew worked efficiently and were fun to be around. He made sure to find out my preference for any design or building consideration that needed a decision, and also made adjustments to suit my taste. They showed up exactly on time.  They had a challenging task of replacing a faucet assembly that was rusted in place, with a faucet that I had purchased.  They were in an out in less than .5 hours.  They were extremely professional and considerate as I was working on the floor directly below them.  A piece that was installed cam loose a few days later, and they were there in a few hours to make sure it was repaired.  It has been three months and all is great.  It was a tough job - as they had to bust out the old faucet, but they stuck to their original Angie's List advertised price.

"This company has treated me well, especially Mike Museus, who worked over a year (last summer and this spring) to find out why there was a fluid leak in my new AC unit. The leak didn't affect the cooling of my home so I wasn't concerned, but Mike was persistent, even to returning finally with an "expert" to help diagnose the problem. What they found was that the A-coil above the furnace was full of tiny pinholes. On the day this was to be replaced, Steve came before 9 a.m. to remove the defective A-Coil and install the new one. He worked on it all day, without lunch or a break, leaving shortly after 5 p.m. There was no charge, as it was still under warranty. With all that, he still took the time to explain to me why the replacement was so important: that the defective A-Coil could eventually leak enough to damage the furnace below it. Because he was using solder, I believe, to install the new part, he turned on the ceiling fan in the adjacent room to mitigate the fumes. My only complaint is that a few of my vinyl floor tiles were damaged/discolored by the soldering process. That part of the flooring has had water damage before and is missing a few tiles so, after a day of hard work, he may have attributed the damage to work done before. It's not a big deal; I just wish he'd have said something. I have to hand it to Steve, though; he was working by himself, which frequently required him to leave the furnace area to check the outdoor AC unit, then rush back to the indoor work. I think it might have been a two-person job. At least, an assistant could have facilitated some of the work done."

"First received an estimate in the summer months. The estimate was slightly higher than we were hoping for, but they offered us a slight discount to get into the range we had budgeted by waiting until winter to start the work, since they are not as busy in the winter. We agreed on a start date, and a week prior they called to confirm. The work started on time and progressed as expected. The only hold up during the construction came when the wrong bathtub was ordered, so they had to wait for the new one to arrive. At the end, the final inspection was not conducted, and it took several tries to reach them to ask about this. When we reached them, they seemed surprised that this was not complete, and took care of it in the next couple days. Very easy to work with. They kept very close to the original estimate - the only things that varied were major changed in the plans and agreed to by us. We are considering more work in the next couple years, and will definitely be calling Five Star."
