Marr Construction completed a three-bathroom remodel in our 1976 vintage townhome. We requested quotes from three companies. Only Marr and one other company responded. The quote writer from the other company seemed inexpert and presented a generic looking contract that was slightly higher than Marr. Mr. Marr visited personally to survey the project, to make suggestions and talk through solutions to existing problems. His contract proposal was clear, complete and conformed completely to the specification we had drafted. The work was done by two highly expert men who were a pleasure to have in our home. They responded promptly and completely to every question we had and every small design decision we made along the way. At the end of each workday, cleanup was good. When work stopped for the weekend, they did their best to restore our home to livability while the work was in progress. Throughout all work, our floors and furniture were covered. Furniture that had to be moved was moved carefully and placed sensibly. The quality of the work is better than what I see in large homes recently purchased by our children. The interim invoice we received at about 70% completion was clear, accurate and conformed to the contract. The job was completed on schedule with no delays. As a teenager, I worked two summers in the home improvement business, so I watched this project with a semi-knowledgeable eye. Marr Construction is five-star all the way. They will have our business in the coming year as we re-model our kitchen.

Comment: We need to remodel the master bathroom. There may be some water damage on the shower/bathtub wall as the soap dish and a couple tiles have already dislodged from the wall. We want to replace the tile all the way to the ceiling, replace all fixtures, install a safety bar, replace flooring, replace vanity and medicine cabinet. We have a new toilet which we'd just need to move but will keep using. We are looking for a contractor to give us a competitive bid and help us to choose materials. Probably will need to replace sheet rock on the walls in shower/tub area. July is the best month for this project. We have another bathroom to remodel but this one is an immediate need. Thanks.
