"Replacement of chimney went very well and I am very pleased with the look. Previous chimney was leaking through mortar cracks and was faced with basalt rock. It would have been very expensive to tear down and replace and Chris suggested several brick colors, dropped them over for us to consider, and drew some pictures of replacement chimney to match mid century house and neighborhood. He also reused old cap material on new chimney and was able to use material to repair rear brick chimney cap."

"I seldom write reviews, but when I do it is for good reason. The service (for parts) I received from this company was outstanding. I needed parts for an older Pacific Energy wood stove. After contacting the factory I started searching around their dealers in the PNW. None of them had a clue as to what I needed, that is until I called NW Chimney. The person who I dealt with, Ashley, knew exactly what I was talking about and displayed an in-depth knowledge of the stove. She was probably a teenager when this stove was built. She ordered what I required and today I picked up the parts. I cannot speak for the service end of their business, but if it is anything like the support end I would not hesitate to recommend them. They are a wonderful example of a real American family owned and operated business. A bit out of the way, but very much worth it. My highest recommendation to them. "RCS Fires Solutions (Auburn, WA) is the BEST!!! When I moved into my new home and needed standard yearly service on my gas fireplace, I contacted a different local company, and my experience was HORRIBLE! The guy that showed up was rude, made a mess in my house, and then after a few minutes of tinkering around claimed my fireplace insert needed to be replaced, which he said would cost thousands of dollars. I was sure that he was lying, given that my fireplace had always worked fine before he showed up. It was clear that he just thought I was a sucker. I then found RCS online and contacted them. Rusty answered the phone and was so helpful. Right away, I knew that I could trust him. He listened to me rant, and set up an appointment for the next day. Ryan showed up, and WOW! What a difference. He was polite, friendly, and respectful of my home. He took off his shoes, put down a tarp, and went to work. He did an amazing job cleaning my fireplace, and even went above and beyond by spray-painting the interior for me to make it look better. It literally looked like a new fireplace after he was done. The folks at RCS are not only knowledgeable and professional, but they are also honest, friendly, and very reasonably priced. "Went smoothly. Completely both the skylite and the kitchen fan roof exhaust in 4 hrs. I did not discover any leak after it done. Outside roof appearance is good. Workers are professional and know what is required to complete the job. The kitchen fan roof exhaust is a tricky one and cannot be done with conventional flashing. So the installer use a torch down roof method instead. Good thinking. Pic show both the skylite and the kitchen fan roof exhaust."

"Robert Smith came out promptly and talked with us regarding the job and what we desired to be done. He was on time, professional and respectful. From our initial appointment, it took several weeks to get the job done because Rob had warned us he had an upcoming big installation. We purchased the stone ahead of time and provided the supplies for installation (thinset, grout, lathe) Our job included a  scratch coat on the current brick, reinforced with lathe attached to original brick by using concrete nails shot into place. Then, the new stone was set into place over the scratch coat and hearth installed flush with the existing hardwood floor.  During the process Robert had an amazing, sealed tent system, to keep our house clean from all the debris and dust that can happen with this type of work. He and assistant did a wonderful job and we are very pleased with the final outcome. Definitely worth the wait! <br /> <br />"
