"Repair work after a lightning strike did rather severe damage to wiring in my barn. Repair work in the barn went well. A grounding rod needed to be installed at the house...Being familiar with electrical work myself, I would have preferred a neater dressing of the connecting grounding wire inside the house running to the circuit breaker panel. Otherwise OK. I'm not familiar with the "going rate" for electrical work, but the price vs time and materials seemed a bit high to me. On the other hand, like with any business there are costs such as vehicle maintenance, taxes, insurance, etc etc, that the customer doesn't see."

"Matt arrived on time as scheduled, asked what was the nature of problem, went about troubleshooting the source of the power outage, and within an hour had located and repaired the problem. This was an "intermittent" power outage that had happened months prior and re-occured this week. Our garage power failure was tricky to isolate as no breakers or GFI switches were tripped anywhere. In addition, only one of two exterior outlets was dead as well. Since our garage had no "resettable" GFI outlets installed, Matts experience led him to believe that the problem source was actually in the guest bathroom, even though all power in that bath was working normally. Sure enough the problem was a loose Hot wire on the bath light switch. After tightening the wire screw, power was restored to the garage. Matt explained everything as he went along and cleaned up everything after the work was completed. I would most definitely recommend and use Bolt Electric again in the future! In April 2020 we had our house re-roofed, and the lightning rods had to be removed before the roofers could work. Sun Valley Electric removed and re-installed the lightning rods and cables before and after the re-roofing. Jared was the technician for Sun Valley. He is a fantastic representative for the company, as is the owner, Jason. I've not met Jason, but I've spoken with him a couple of times on the phone.
