Our original plan of interior foam insulation was disrupted by some dramatic seepage on the north side of the foundation. Northern Basements came to provide us with a few options for repair. The diagnostic visit was very informative and the estimates reasonable. We chose the exterior drain option and sent in our deposit. The team that completed the work was amazing in what they accomplished and their very professional demeanor. We also purchased a dehumidifier system from Northern Basements. One year later all systems have worked very well. The basement is dry and we have had no other issues.

"We worked with Erickson Construction for about an 8 week period. They were very flexible with their scheduling to accommodate back order situations with some of the bathroom fixtures we ordered that added 4-5 weeks to the overall timeline. Their suggestions about the layout, design and fixtures were very helpful. We were offered options with ways to cut costs and were advised when upgraded materials would save money in the long run.
Our overall experience with Matt Erickson and his team(the employees and sub-contractors all seem to be related -- a real Family business) was a pleasure in every way. The house foundation has some issues due to settling that caused some challenges with the walls, door frames, and finish woodwork. The carpenters had answers for all of the obstacles and difficulties that our house presented along the way. We are very happy with the results and are eager to share our experience with everyone who sees our new Family Room and 2nd Bathroom. The estimates were accurate and the quality of workmanship is of the highest quality. Their honesty and integrity made us feel like we were always their top priority. We would recommend them to any of our family and friends looking to undertake a home improvement project.

"Rick responded immediately to my e-mail inquiry through the website and called me to set up an appointment.  He was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable.  As it turns out, after making the arrangements for the sump pump, we discovered the source of our water was from our heating system.  When we informed Rick of this and the fact the sump pump would not be needed, he promptly refunded our deposit.  I would definitely recommend Rick Jackson and will contact him in the future if the need arises.

"When I first met Stavros, he discovered damage that another company completely missed. His inspection was thorough and he explained the situation so we could easily understand what was happening and what we needed to do to repair it. He and his crew then did a very thorough job repairing our concrete foundation that had cracked and was sinking due to problems with the subsoil, as well as leveling the concrete slab in our basement. He took care not to damage our property, and even maneuvered his equipment under our deck so we didn't have to remove it to complete the repair. He and Athena genuinely care about their customers, and were empathetic and kind throughout what was a difficult experience for us as homeowners. "I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Brad Green of Colonial Restorations. We have lived in our antique house for 16 years now, and like most old homes, some of its previous repairs were good, some not so good. Tom Green worked on this house for its previous owners, and his work was, by far, the best in the house. So, we continued to use Colonial - Tom, then Tom and Brad - as we learned the ropes about caring for an old house - our first house, old or new. Over the years, they have replaced sills and posts and beams, and rebuilt parts of our loose stone foundation. Most recently, they replaced the last original posts in our basement, (one of which was a tree trunk still with bark on it), including pouring new custom footings, in advance of our finally cementing the dirt floor. The work here is never easy - nothing is level, nothing is square - but the Greens' end result has always been beautiful - strong and made to last. Their prices are fair and without hidden costs....maybe not the lowest bid you might get, but you know it's a real bid that they will stand behind. They triage projects for us, giving us an idea of what other items will likely need attention in the next few years. We're not done with this house yet....we've never won the lottery, and there's always another repair..... and plan to use them again soon. I feel confident knowing that the next owners of this house, whoever they might be, will see the quality of the work and know that we cared enough to have the right people help us with the ongoing repair and maintenance of a 275+ year old house. I am a real person, a real customer, with no ties to the company, and was more than happy to write this review."
