"We had two cracks in our foundation. One crack was much more severe than the other. For the mason contractors to properly fix the inside and outside of the cracked foundation they had to take out an old concrete patio slab. They fixed the foundation cracks and put in a new slab, filled in three basement windows, replaced two basement windows, installed two window wells, installed drainage pipe for gutter run off, and added fill around the foundation to make positive grade. Serena and Bo kept us in the loop every day to tell us what work was being performed for each day. We will definitely be using Staats Masonry again for any of our other future concrete jobs."

"Justin poured a concrete patio in my backyard of one of my rental properties which used to be a rotted wooden deck. He did an excellent job I am very happy with the finished product especially for the price. I would recommend him to anyone.

"The company raised the concrete but didn't take any precautions to keep debris out of pool. After two days of cleaning we have all cement particles out of the pool, but find it necessary to clean out our pool filter Though the concrete did raise in some spots it is not totally even; water pools in a couple of spots. Be advised that this company only fills in the holes; you have to hire another company to stain the cement to match deck color. Clean up is not high on the priority list.

"I'd had a evaluation and estimate from Exterior Solutions and after then not having received a call back or return email (the inspector had also pulled a loose single from my roof leaving it exposed) I went back to Angie's List. T&T came up, noting it had a good rating, I called. Dave and a colleague arrived, evaluated the roof and offered to repair it free of charge. Still blown away by this. A member of their crew arrived yesterday and did this; apparently they've ended up correcting other work done by Exterior Solutions and they only wanted the good will rating for the work. Incredibly nice and very professional."

"I recently had a concrete patio installed by Chad and his team, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and highly skilled. They worked exceptionally hard. It’s already become my favorite spot to relax and entertain. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for quality concrete work done right. Thanks Chad!"

"I hired them to do the foundation on a new construction build. They were very on point, professional, punctual, honest and worked hard to get the job done in a timely manner. One of the most professional concrete companies I have used. Would highly recommend and use again."

FAQs for concrete foundation raise projects in Albany, NY

On average, it takes two to seven days to physically raise your house. However, this does not include the preparation work, which is often the most lengthy process. The entire project, including preparation, obtaining permits, disconnecting utilities, and any subsequent landscaping, can take four to eight weeks. This timeline ensures everything is done safely and that your home remains structurally sound.

If proper safety protocols are not followed, raising a house can cause severe damage, as the process involves applying controlled force to the home's structure. The risks involved make it crucial to hire a skilled contractor who uses engineered methods to secure your home and prevent any harm to your household.

If your foundation shows signs of instability after raising your home, you might need to add structural support. A structural engineer can assess your foundation and recommend reinforcements to ensure your house stays stable and safe for the long term. Available support options include installing additional piers or pilings, reinforcing existing footings, or using steel beams to distribute the load more evenly.

You will need a structural engineer to assess your home before you begin. These professionals determine whether your house is suitable for lifting and identify any issues that could compromise its stability. Their expertise ensures that the project is designed correctly and all risks are managed to achieve a successful lift.
