"Randy and his son Alan were consistently professional, courteous, conscientious, and meticulous.  All work was completed for the price quoted and within the estimated time frame.  To say that we are happy with their work is a huge understatement. <br /> We asked them to build the staircase, not really having anything specific in mind.  They came up with a thoughtful design, based on how we intended to use it.  For example, knowing that we have dogs, they made it extra wide.  They also included a walkway from the bottom of the staircase to the patio, which looks amazing and makes the functionality even stronger.  The overall look is really pretty and it blends in with the style of the house perfectly. <br /> The kitchen work was beyond our expectations.  We started with a completely unfinished room and now we have a beautiful kitchen that looks like it has always been there.  Our requests were basic, but they came up with lots of ideas on how to enhance the size and efficiency of the space, as well as aesthetics.  Our focus was functional, but their meticulous and thoughtful workmanship resulted in a beautiful space that looks like it has always been there.  Their attention to detail is incredible! <br /> In addition to their amazing work, Randy and Alan are extremely nice and were a pleasure to have in our home for several weeks. <br />"

"<em>I supervised the remodeling of my daughter's kitchen so I was dealing a lot with Craig. He is very nice and the finished kitchen<br /> is lovely. We did not replace the tile floor however and it turned out that it had been laid over the original vinyl floor and just went up to the old cabinets and not under them which we did not think about until the old cabinets came out and the new were going in. We were pretty much putting new cabinets on the imprint of the old though so this was not a problem except in the desk area where we added a drawer stack. To make a long story short we would have had a small area left exposed where there was no tile, but Craig's installers flipped the side the drawer stack was on, added a "skin" (like veneer) of wood on the side that was originally<br /> going to be against another cabinet and added trim at the bottom all the way around (that matched the baseboard trim on the<br /> island) to cover the"hole". It turned out perfectly. <br /> The only other problem concerned the sink pipes that come up through the bottom of that cabinet. I did not think to have a plumber come cut off the control knobs and cap the pipes before the old cabinets were removed. One of Craig's installers<br /> does plumbing work too so he came first thing the day of install and cut and capped. The only problem was that he left a 1inch<br /> piece sticking out from the vertical pipes, so they had to cut the holes in the new cabinet bigger than normal to slip it over the<br /> pipes. This meant the normal escutcheons the plumbers use to cover the holes did not cover them. My daughter found a vinyl or plastic sheet at Bed Bath and Beyond though meant to be used under your sink to catch spills etc. which she could cut to fit around the pipes and which then covered the holes, so this problem was also solved fairly easily.<br /> Overall we are very happy with the new cabinets and would highly recommend Kabinart.<br /> </em> <br />"
