"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"Old wrap-around screening was removed and new screen system installed (individual panels).  Old horizontal wide boards were removed and saved for homeowner.  New metal pickets were installed to provide wider viewing area.  Workers showed up when scheduled and completed the work in a timely manner. <br />"

"He's not the cheapest in town (not the most expensive either) but he is absolutely the most responsive and detail-oriented contractor we've ever dealt with. Always on time, clean, and the only contractor we have ever given a key to our home and not worried. We've done a lot of work on our house and twice chosen other contractors based on price and both times regretted it. Now anything we can't do or don't have time to do ourselves, we go to Maurice. He's the best!"

"They were prompt and courteous and did a great job.  My only problem is that for the price that we paid I have not seen a decrease in our heating bill.  The attic is still very cold."

"I live in a house that was build in the 30's and believe the toilet was orginal to the house. While cleaning one day I notice that the bowel had a crack on the outside and the inside and that water was leaking from the tank that hangs on the wall. Mr Deaton was recommed by one of the dispatchers I work with. So we call,Mr Deaton came over after he had is dentist appt.(he was in the office when I called) He listen to what I wanted and he made a few suggestions. He took the measurements and said he would call us the next day. Which he did, he gave us the price of 1500.00 to replace the toilet with a Chair hgt toilet, replace the bathroom sink with a new sink and base cabinit, and put down ceramic tile floor. That included taking everything out and gettting rid of it. I biggest concern was being with out a toilet for so long. Mr Deaton was able to get the floor down and the toilet in,in less that 12 hrs. We had to be very careful, but we were at least able to use the bathroom. He came in the next day finish up the job. Mr Deaton and his men kept the job site cleaned up,both in the house and outside. While working in the bathroom,he notice that the light switch was not working right. He explain that it was a problem and should be fixed. He also fixed the kitchen sink faucet. My husband and I both are very pleased with Mr Deatons work. And will use him again."

Cascio Construction does quality work and will take the extra time to be sure everything is correct and you are satisified. I highly recommend CC for any remodel or improvement. "We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. We extend our sincere thanks to the team at RetractableAwnings.com, and for those review sites that accept photographs, we include the following photo."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Gladys, VA

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
