I asked four different contractors to submit quotes for the job and Paul came back with a price at or below the others, but quoted premium insulated vinyl siding where as the others quoted regular siding. Paul's team, Mr. Jung and Alex are tireless workers, even working weekends when weather took the weekdays away. The previous owners had new siding put on as a part of "flipping" the house 5 years ago. However, the contractors they hired did not repair the rotted out, molded, and left holes everywhere. They also failed to add house wrap, which created an even more hazardous living condition for my family. Paul's team used over 70 pieces of plywood to fix the house and never once complained about the extra work. They made sure things were done right for us. 10 stars for Innovative! "I contacted Chesapeake Roofing, Windows, and Siding about installing a new roof on my townhouse. The estimate I received was actually over $1,000 LESS than what my neighbors paid last year to have their roofs replaced by another local company. I signed the contact but was contacted by my HOA board shortly thereafter who said I needed to change the type of shingle I had put in my contact as it was not the approved shingle type for our community. Chesapeake Roofing, Windows, and Siding told me it was no problem to change the shingle type and quickly drafted me up a new contact to sign. Domenic and Kurt also kept me well informed about when my new roof would be installed as the original date had to be pushed back a few days due to rain. Domenic and his crew cleaned up very well after the roof was installed - my neighbor also told me she was impressed how well they cleaned up. There was a minor issue with some gunk from the gutters that was left on my neighbors siding, however, Kurt responded immediately when I called about this and the debris was power washed clean the next day. I would definitely recommend Chesapeake, Roofing, and Siding to anyone looking to have a new roof installed based on my positive experience!"

"The customer service before the installation was outstanding - very attentive to detail, product knowledge was exceptional, and no high pressure sales.  Max went out of his way to bring full size samples of the siding to ensure that we were pleased with the quality and colors.  We felt like we were provide the best price initially - no back and forth negotiations were needed.  During and after the installation, the customer service and responsiveness remained outstanding.  The crew were professional, pleasant and did an excellent job. "Our review is based on the purchase (part 1) for replacing siding for both side of our home. Jacob L. was very professional, on time, and honest. He knows what he is selling. We learned a lot about our home during his presentation. Before we bought our home we paid for a professional home inspection. We thought our house inspector was very good but he did miss something---the siding on the sides of our home was installed extremely bad. Jacob pointed out so much that we just didn't know and should have be caught during our home inpection. Thanks Jacob!!"

"To be completely upfront, I should first make it clear that I did not have any work done, my comments are strictly based on the estimate/initial home visit. I also want to start with a few positive things that I did like about this encounter. First, I believe this business is based in Southern Maryland or someplace well outside the beltway, so I greatly appreciated that he drove all the way to my home just for an estimate. Secondly, I appreciated that he showed up on time, which is important for me as I have a bit of a tight work schedule. Lastly, I should note that he did seem to know his stuff, and understood what I wanted to have done. But here are the concerning things: First, as soon as he arrived, he immediately began pointing out other issues that were not directly related to the porch, such as noticing that some of the trim around one of my upstairs windows was rotting, and that there were a couple of missing shingles on my roof (gee thanks, I also have a hole in my left sock, want to talk about that too?). This really wasn't a major issue, but it was an immediate indication that he was fishing for extra projects. Later, after assessing the kind of work that would need to be done to the porch, he quoted me $18k, which at first appeared fairly reasonable. But after asking a few more questions, I learned that this estimate would not include any of the paperwork necessary for required permits, or even a drawling/sketch. He recommended that I do the paperwork/permit myself if I wanted to keep the price at 18k. I asked him how much more he would charge if I took care of everything except for the required drawling, he said that alone would cost an additional $2,000! By this point, I was getting a little nervous and wanted to make sure I had the specifics nailed down. So I asked if he would provide me the price in writing. He immediately said that he would not provide anything in writing, and that if I had any doubts about his work, I should look at the reviews on angles list! I don't care if someone has a 1,000 positive reviews, any contractor worth your business should always provide you an estimate in writing, and they should be completely upfront about any additional costs. Perhaps he's good at what he does, maybe I would have loved his work, but it's just not worth the risk."

"Bob was sympathetic to our situation. We had another company back or the contract. Bob came out and explained the process and gave a great price on the roof. We were able to be scheduled quickly and the installation was smooth."

"Took them about 1.5 hours; one above the first story, one above the 2nd story. They had to remove the siding around these vents, replace the vent, then put back the siding and caulk. They came on time, knew what to do, and did it professionally for a reasonable price. I had the new vents and caulk ready, so it was just labor (and nails)."

"Power home did a door to door, after meeting with their rep for siding, we liked the superior quality of their vinyl siding with a foam backing. Our current siding had issues of water penetration and algae growth and frankly was cheap as the previous owner took advantage of drive by sales after a hail storm. On their QA inspection post install? They found further water penetration through the roof and provided me proof of that so we went high end with a GAF roofing system. End result? Yeah it cost quite a bit more than my comfort zone. But you get what you pay for. We are more comfortable, and since this occurred during winter? I noted my heat pump did not cycle as often. And we got our electric company assessment for energy use for a totally electric home? Excellent. Impact of the better siding and better roof."
