"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"I live out of state and recently inherited a home in Floyds Knobs.  While waiting for the estate to clear, the home was vacant, and we only discovered 2.5" of water in the basement after it had been there for two weeks.  We called PuroClean, and within 2 hours Matt C. was there to check on the extent of the damage.  An hour later he had brought the equipment to remove the water and fix the sump pump (which had stopped working and caused the flooding after a heavy rain).  By the end of the day (on a Friday!) the water was gone.   <br /> Over the next two weeks, PuroClean removed all of the damaged woodwork, paneling, carpet, drop ceilings, etc. from the basement.  They dehumidified and got rid of the mold from the remaining framing.  Matt C. made several more trips to the house to check that it stayed dry.   <br /> I am *thoroughly* pleased with the result of PuroClean's work.  Matt C. was very good about communicating with me via phone and email since I don't live there.  I highly recommend PuroClean."

"Came out immediately, prompt, courteous, efficient, friendly certified inspector. Sampled air at three levels and did a visual inspection that identified a pipe wedged up in back of a furnace that I'd missed and recommended that it be double-wrapped and banded. Turned around a lab analysis and report in three days that showed no trace of asbestos, phew.Highly recommended company. <br />"

"He is really excellent, and did excellent. He came right out when we called him. He came out with a helper, and they were really nice. The people who built our house for us did not build the structure underneath the house right (Did not treat the wood correctly). We had to get a company out a couple years later to fix that. That company did not do a good job either. I finally called this company to come out and fix this. They came out to enclosed it with some special plastic, and installed a dehumidifier under our home. They also gave us an Acu-Rite instrument, to be able to monitor the temperature/moisture under our house. They had it all set up for us, and it is really nice. He gave us a warranty as well. It is still working fine, and keeps the humidity mold. It has killed off the mold, and we no longer have moisture under there. They gave me a free estimate before they started the job, and the end cost matched the initial estimate. His pricing was very reasonable, and fair. He was also very good at explaining what he was going to do. This was my first time using this company, and would defiantly recommend them to other people. He did work at our son's house as well."

"Eric removed two layers of shingles from our 40 year old roof and replaced them with new 3D Duration shingles. The job started with us needing someone to replace some siding on the chimney due to water leaking in behind the siding causing deterioration and paint peeling off of the siding panels. The repair which we were pursuing was relatively small and consequently we contacted several qualified contractors and they were not willing to even come and scope out our job. Someone referred us to Maximus and when I called and talked to Eric, he was willing to take on the project even though it was small. When he showed up to evaluate the situation and give an estimate for the job, he discovered that the cause of our problem was due to the concrete cap around our chimneys that had cracked and separated and allowed water to seep in and deteriorate the trim boards and siding. We agreed to have him replace the siding and trim boards and to replace the chimney chase because his quote was very reasonable. During this same visit, I was asking him about the condition of the shingles on the roof because they had been in place for 20 years. They were showing signs of wear but he said they could last another year or two. I inquired as to the cost of him roofing the house too while he was doing the other jobs for us and that quote seemed very reasonable so I agreed to that job as well. He has just finished the total project in less than a week and everything looks really good. He maintained the schedule that he promised and he was on site nearly every day to make sure things were running smooth. We will definitely call Maximus again when the need arises. <br />"

"We went to the home show this year looking for information on encapsulating our crawl space. Little did we know what a can of worms we opened! Americrawl came out to give us an estimate and found lots of damage. So we got second and third opinions/estimates. None matched Americrawl's price. The estimator was very honest and gave a very detailed quote. <br /> The guys who came out and did the work arrived on time, and got this extensive job done in three days. The crawl space is clean, covered well, and they cleaned up every bit of debris they hauled out (old insulation, rotten wood, etc). <br /> Would highly recommend them to anyone needing crawl space repair!"

"PuroClean showed up and began immediately to dry the damage floors. They also worked with our insurance company helping them understand the damage caused by the leak in a very short time, like less than a week. They were professional and provided Value for the their work including drying the damp areas from below the floor and above removing the possibility of a mold issue."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Glenwood, IN

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
