"Craig is a great salesman, with knowledge and vision. We chose him regardless of the estimate being higher than competitors based on quality of work seen a reviews. As one might expect, the employees didn't have the same ambition. There was areas of improvement between our expectations and the final product. Besides that, I recommend Craig and his crew. The irrigation system and tree stump removals were done by other 3rd parties and i will be providing a separate review."

"The initial meeting was great, the owner showed up on time, fully explained all that would be completed in detail. Within 2 days we had a written contract and were scheduled. They showed up as scheduled with a full crew and installed our walkway beautifully. We are very pleased with the product, the professional install and manners of the company. Now for the down side. We were left with numerous gouges in our lawn and the cobble stones that were slid toward our foundation were not spread back out to the walkway. The gouges and ruts left by their equipment required us to hire our own landscapers to repair and reseed. They left quite a mess of a well maintained property, and never even laced New seed or attempt to repair damage they created. We love our new paving project, but feel they could have repaired what they tore up. We fully understand that construction projects will create some disruption, but feel this was excess and there was no offer to repair it. We would call on them again, but cautiously on how much damage."

"They delayed there start by about a week, but I understood we had had a lot of rain in the last two weeks. They came with the trees I had ordered and were great about planting them where I showed them. They came with just 4 kinds of perennials (12 in all). The selection did not include a bleeding heart as I had requested, nor different colored foliage. I had discussed wanting to add color to my shady backyard garden - I am aware of the difficulty of doing that with shade and partial shade. We had discussed impatiens (which the chipmunks have eaten in the past) and had decided to try them again. Impatiens were not delivered. I sent back 7 of the perennials, getting a bleeding heart and impatiens the next day. To seed they put down topsoil (did not tamp it, even when I asked if the were going to) put seed on and raked it it. I was told I needed to keep it watered and wet for three weeks because there were different grass seeds that germinated at different times. I did. Much of the area near the driveway and on the yard has sunk down - one to two inches.
I needed a larger job done, the tearing down of my stonewall near my basement and sliding glass doors, digging out a foot built up of dirt and the rebuilding of the stonewall flared so it did not go against the wood framing. I was told they could come that Friday for an estimate. No one came. 6 weeks later I got a call about setting up a time for an estimate. I declined.
I will continue to use Faddegon's to buy trees and have them plant them. I will go and pick my own perennials and annuals and plant then myself. I will not use them for landscaping or stonework."

"I would highly recommend Joshua's work. He was prompt, clean, neat and did everything I asked to complete the project. His workers where also neat and respectful. I have also hired him for another project later in the year based on the work he completed."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Gloversville, NY

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
