"We went with Bone Dry because of their sterling reputation. Two contractor friends of mine recommended them -- and said not to bother getting a second or third quote. Bone Dry communicated well throughout the project. We can't say enough good things about them and would highly recommend Bone Dry to anyone needing a new roof and/or gutters."

"The first visit:  We planned to install the new toilet and new faucet.  Parts were missing from the faucet so we scheduled a second visit and added a toilet repair.  There was a mixup on the apointment but he was apologetic and rescheduled at my convenience.  He quickly did the faucet and toilet repair. All was done for a very fair cost.  Scott is pleasant, polite and respectful to my home. <br />"

"Great! The project turned out to be more than either one of us expected. The support beam was so rotten that the structural beam was at risk. We discussed the issue and it was clear I would have to bring in a General Contractor for this work. He replaced the other rotten pole and shored up the rotten header with two support poles. This work was above and beyond what I am hired him to do. He did this extra work and did not expect anything in return. What a stand up guy and would call on him again if needed. Sherry Thomas"

"Terry Mackenzie, Freedom Home Services, was my handyman for seven years. He was the best handyman I have ever used. He is competent, reasonable, professional, prompt, and very capable. He was able to fix, set up or repair everything that needed attention. When I moved, he gave me many terrific ideas for making my smaller house more functional: closet systems, hanging heavy objects, adding hooks, etc. When i have given him particularly difficult tasks, he has always found ways to do them very well. On a 5 star rating system, he gets 5 on every category."

"It was Saturday when the power went out.  I called the 24 hour emergency number around 8:40 a.m.  I told the representative who took the call what the problem was.  I also told her that my dad was on oxygen so we needed the repair to be made as soon as possible.  She assured me that someone would be at our home in 30 to 40 minutes.  I even ask her not to tell me the service man would be there at a certain time if he couldn't make it then.  She assured me that she wasn't doing that.  Needless to say 30 minutes, then 40 minutes came and went.  I called again and she apologized and said she would call the service man to see why he hadn't arrived.  She called me back and said he would be at my home shortly.  I asked her what shortly meant; long story, short, he arrived around 10:30 a.m.  I will say that the representative was very polite.  When the service man arrived, he quickly accessed the problem and made the repair.  He was professional and courteous.  With them coming on Saturday, I was expecting the bill to be higher than it was.  I have other electrical work that needs to be done and I do plan to use Korte again.  When the service man came out to give me an estimate on the work needing to be done, he was on time. <br />"

"We started in December. The weather got so bad that it took a while to finish it. They did a very good job. It cost us $843 for them to put the rest of wood on the ramp. It was almost $2000 for the stain. My husband is handicapped and we had to have a ramp. He had started a long time ago. He tried to do it himself but he couldn’t after a while. That's why we hired them. They were very good at cleanup. They were very professional. They are a father and son crew. It takes them a little bit longer than some other contractors who have more workers; it's just those two. They were very good. There are only two of them. It's not going to be completed real fast. Their pricing was a little steep for just the two of them. They are the first ones we have used; I don’t know what the pricing is out there. They do good work. We took them on in the worst weather. They tried to be responsive. They call us when they can't make it. They just don’t leave us out there hanging. They are punctual. They normally didn’t start till about 10 o' clock in the morning; I thought that was kind of strange. They really were a nice crew. They are coming back to do another project."

"Excellent .. communication, contract, explaining how it worked as I had never had to use a transport/carrier before. This was a very positive experience & wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend this company. I appreciate Guy walking me through the process of getting my Mom's car back to NY & Val who was the transport driver & delivered the car. A+++++ service"

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Grabill, IN

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
