After previous work, Russell and Buddy (RH Builders) were the only ones we wanted working on the door when it was delivered. They looked at the door and recommended a specialized marine varnish finish product instead of our first thought of applying some kind of polyurethane. With the wrought-iron accents to the door's exterior the time-consuming work involved with sanding and applying multiple coats of finish it took some time to prepare the door for mounting. In the meantime he suggested a set of hardware that perfectly complemented the door accents. It was very obvious they appreciated the uniqueness of the door (Russell said he "loved" the door) and understood our desire for a "perfect" door. The care used in installing the hardware and mounting the door demonstrated their dedication to wood craftsmanship.
