It all started several years ago with a dream to be different, we wanted to challenge ourselves to be the best excavation and grading contractor in Wisconsin. The best not only limited to the quality of our work, the competitiveness of our pricing, or the size of our company, but the best more so in the journey of how we would achieve those aspirations. We wanted to be transparent with our clients, and we wanted to create a family of collaborators, not roster of employees. And today, we are well on our way to success with those endeavors. We are growing fast, and we are going strong together with those who we work with. If you have a project which will incorporate earthwork, demolition, or utility work, I highly encourage you to reach out to us to experience for yourself what we are. Look forward to hearing from you, Masterwork Construction
"This is the second time I had Masterwork do my driveway. They did an Excellent job just like the first time. I would definitely recommend Rob and his crew anytime. Thanks again."

The mission of His Workmanship is to glorify God by displaying the gospel through speedy communication and quick scheduling. We are an online booking agency which facilitates the provision of labor services by matching Christian college providers with homeowners.
"We have used His Workmanship 2 times with completely different experiences. The first could not have gone better! The crew was exceptional—such hard workers! With this in mind we had very high hopes for this recent visit; however, we could not be more disappointed. This crew did not seem to accomplish a whole lot in the 3 hours. Their work was sloppy—they left trimmings all over the porch and bed, and bushes were not cut cleanly (lots of uneven pieces sticking up). They did not even bring any equipment. The most frustrating part however was how things were handled from there. The His Workmanship website states very clearly that ALL email is answered within 24 hours—Eric, the owner, has always been quick to respond in terms of questions about coming out for a job, and yet, when we emailed him (2 times!) asking to discuss this recent less-than-stellar performance he completely ignored us! It’s been 2 weeks and no word whatsoever. This is unacceptable customer service! Sadly, it seems, they only respond when it profits them. If we could have had a simple conversation, the company might have kept our loyalty and business! As it stands we are upset and especially disheartened from this experience—this is NOT a good reflection of HIS workmanship!! We honestly chose this company because they stand apart as an upfront Christian organization. We really love what this is supposed to be based on! The whole premise of the company leads us to believe they have integrity and are a service that stands by its work, is trustworthy, and one that treats its customers fairly. How very disappointing to be treated otherwise. From this experience we would NOT recommend using this company!"

We are a fireplace business that does everything related to fireplaces. We custom design and install fireplaces. We come to your home free of charge. We do fireplace refacing, new construction and remodeling, all types of stone and brick work, gas logs and glass doors, wood and gas fireplaces and stoves. "At first, Kent was responsive - i.e. looking to stop by our home, assess our situation, and give us a bid. Unfortunately, he seemed reticent to set up an appointment - he'd say "I can meet you at 10 a.m. tomorrow" - even though I work downtown and it's hard for me to drop everything and drive back to Mequon, WI. Attempts to text him on his i-phone yielded no responses and he never returned my last voice mail and email through Angie's list as I made one last attempt to make an appointment. After I sent a final note via angie's list indicating that I was going with another vendor, i received a call from his wife/partner - at that point, it was too little, too late. I'm sure he's good at what he does, and he seems like a nice man, but Kent showed little respect for my time and didn't seem to want my business. My advice going forward is that, be upfront if you're too busy and politely decline. Otherwise, work around your potential customer's schedule, not yours."

Owner-operated. No subs. Cost is determined by the job. Travel charges may apply. no service fees. Additional DBAs - Dennis Pinter Sand & Gravel, Pinter Construction Co, Pinter Cement Construction.
"Hired Dennis to remove several yards of dirt from my driveway and he had same day availability at a very reasonable price that beat all other quotes (less than half the price). He even helped me move the rest of my mulch pile around my yard. Would highly recommend, great experience!"

The depth of decomposed granite depends on the load the surface will support. For a vehicle driveway, install decomposed granite six inches deep. For pedestrian areas, use three inches, and for decorative surfaces, one inch will suffice. Heavier loads require thicker layers to ensure stability, drainage, and longevity, while lighter uses can maintain their appearance with less material.
One cubic yard of decomposed granite covers 54 square feet when laid to a six-inch depth. This conversion is derived by dividing the volume in cubic feet by the depth in feet. The calculation is fundamental for project planning because it converts three-dimensional volume into the two-dimensional area of coverage. Due to potential settling and compaction after installation, pros recommend an extra 15% to ensure the installed layer meets precise design requirements and maintains robust stability over time.
Determining whether a base layer is necessary for decomposed granite installation requires careful assessment of your project needs. A base layer of crushed rock or gravel provides essential support, improved drainage, and enhanced stability. Utilizing a solid base improves the overall structure by absorbing weight, reducing erosion, and extending the life of the surface. Additionally, a properly compacted base layer minimizes shifting and settling, ensuring that the decomposed granite remains evenly distributed and effective over time.
