"Hired them to install a tankless water heater, which required an electrical upgrade from 30A to 120A. They handled everything with the panel, ran the new wiring without any damage to the drywall, and kept everything clean. They also added can lights in the ceiling of one room, and installed outdoor electrical outlets. They were fast, professional, and incredibly sharp. Definitely a go-to place for all your home electrical needs."

"Joe and his crew were top notch on our project! Several electrical panels were replaced at very reasonable rates, the work very well done by an efficient crew that cleaned up after themselves. We are already on their schedule for more work!"

"I am so happy with the updates! I had them come out to bid the job, and the technicians suggested solutions I had not thought of, but really liked. I was able to accept an early install appointment due to a cancellation, and so my garage is now safely re-wired, with additional outlets for easy shop use and beautiful bright daylight LED lighting to replace the funky workaround lighting that had been in place. I LOVE the way it looks and works!"

"I need to be very clear, the work done is very professional looking and was quick when he got here. Like other reviews though, Brian did not show up the 1st time scheduled, pushed back later into that night and did not make that appointment. Rescheduled again for Monday at 9AM and did not show once again. Upon contacting he informed me he would be here at 11AM-12PM, showed up at 12:20 and performed the agreed upon work. Things happen, jobs take longer than expected, but my problem here is that I was the one chasing for updates, he never once proactively informed me he was going to be late or needed to reschedule. That's not customer service to me. As far as the price? I should have done my homework and that's on me, but to charge Double for the same work because of switching out a different mount that's no more than 20 bucks? Yup, I'll be doing my homework next time. The quality of his work is not in question to me, if it were that alone, I'd hire him again, but I was inconvenienced 3 times because of his lack of communication, so based on that I would not re hire him."

FAQs for electrical wiring or panel upgrade projects in Granite Falls, WA

Yes, a licensed electrician is essential for this project. Running an electrical service from the road to your house involves connecting to utility power lines, complying with national and local electrical codes, and safely handling high-voltage systems.

Licensed professionals understand proper wire sizing, grounding requirements, and voltage drop calculations needed for safe installation. Most jurisdictions require permits and inspections that only certified professionals can obtain. The safety risks and potential for property damage make this project inappropriate for DIY attempts.

Overhead installations are less expensive than underground options. For a 1000-foot run, overhead service costs between $8,000 and $15,000, while underground service ranges from $10,000 to $25,000.

Overhead lines require less labor and fewer materials since they don't need trenching or conduit. However, underground lines offer better protection from weather events and aesthetic benefits. Your decision should balance your budget constraints with long-term reliability and visual preferences.

You might need to upgrade your electrical panel depending on your power requirements. If your existing panel cannot handle the additional load from the extended service, upgrading to a 200-amp service (costing $750 to $2,000) may be necessary.

A licensed electrician can evaluate your current system and determine if an upgrade is required. Factors include what you'll be powering at the end of the line, existing electrical demand, and whether voltage drop over the distance will affect performance.

Running electric service from the road to a house requires electrical permits from your local building department, costing between $500 and $2,000 depending on your location. You may also need excavation permits for trenching work if installing an underground service. Your utility company will have its own application process for connecting to its grid. A licensed electrical contractor can handle all the necessary permit applications as part of their service, ensuring your installation meets all local code requirements.
