"The screens are very nice, match the other screens and fit well within the window frame. These windows were older and more difficult to build matching screens that fit properly in the original frame. They had to make four trips to achieve the right fit and I am sure they sacrificed profit for customer satisfaction. Wonderful commitment and attitude by the installers and the management to get a job done right. Just want you hope for when a job doesn't go as everyone expected the first time; a commitment to do whatever is necessary to get it right!"

"Work went very well. Maintained isolation barriers while abating the mold. Complied with cleaning and inspections and meeting specifications. A year later and everything is still good with no mold reoccurring."

"The provider was punctual on the first meeting, but late 45 minutes when returning and servicing the screens on 06/19/13.  The provider committed to fixing the frames and screens.   When they returned the screens they did replace the screen portion of the screens, but did not fix the frames as committed.   The provider did not communicate the change in the committment.  In addition, when they returned the screens they were not in the orginal order to go right back to the same window.  This caused the provider to replace the window seal pins which left holdes in the window seal wood.  The provider did not offer to repair the holes with wood putty or caulk them to ensure they would not rot in the future.   The provider did not replace the guides on the upper frame of the window where the screens slide into, but flattened the orginal and put new guides in place.  The provider was professional and did take their shoes off in the house and were professional, but the work and repairs were an average C rating. <br />"

"The Squeegee Squad employees were amazing I highly recommend this company They arranged a time to be at my home and came 10 minutes early. Three very polite and professionally dressed guys came to our door and introduced themselves. We had never had our windows cleaned in 25 years. I thought they would see what a big job it was and say never mind or it would be more money than they estimated, but they went straight to work. It took them a few hours, and my windows were so sparking clean. They cleaned the inside and outsides of the windows and took off the screens, cleaned them and put them back on. I never knew how awesome it was to have clean windows. My house seems so clean now and we can see so clearly outside the windows. All the dirt and spider webs are gone. We also had the house power washed and the driveway power washed. They did a fantastic job. I don't usually post reviews, but I am so impressed with this company that I had to share. It was very reasonably priced and worth every bit."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Grantville, GA

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
