"Basset Heating and Air Conditioning offers a great plan where the customer pays a reduced set price once a year to have their air conditioner tuned up in the spring and their furnace tuned up in the fall. Additionally, under the plan the customer recieves significant discounts should his or her air conditioner or furnace need emergency repair any time during the year. As usual, the Basset Heating and Air Conditioning front office called me to set up an appointment for my spring tune up. Mike called 30 minutes prior to arriving to assure me that he would be on time plus or minus a couple of minutes. The entire tune up took approximately 30 minutes. After the tune up was complete, Mike sat down with me and explained that my air conditioner was now 13 years old with a life expectancy of 15 to 20 years. He also explained that the EPA was phasing out the older air conditioners and that if leaks were to occur in my unit, the replacement freon was getting more and more expensive each year. He told me the approximate price of a new air conditioning unit and compared it to the price of continually replacing the freon in my older model. This was very good to know. Should leaks now occur over the next couple of years, I will definitely buy a new unit rather than throw away good money after bad. A very professional job from a very experienced, professional man.

"Gerald came out (right on time!) and cleaned our dryer duct vent to prevent fires.  He
did a thorough job, and even cleaned the floor under the dryer with
spray by hand.  He used his gizmo to get the lint out of the dryer pipe,
and dryer vent pipe that goes to the roof.  He gave me a lot of
information about how to keep safe from fires.  I like the assurance
that our house will not burn down due to neglect.  His company came out
about 1-2 years ago and did an excellent job (fixing the mess the
handyman made of it).  They had told me the way to tell if you need your
vent cleaned is if you put your hand on the top of the dryer for more
than a few seconds and if it's hot (mine was warm after 1-2 years, cold
before though) it's time to clean it.  Gerald is very professional.  He
does however need a secretary to answer his calls.  I will definitely be
a repeat customer.  I highly recommend them.
