"I hired Artistic Carpet & Restoration to do a mold remediation job at my home that was expected to be a small and localized project that would be completed in one week. As the walls were opened up mold was found on the wooden studs and trusses but not on the drywall, and there were no water stains anywhere to reveal how the mold got there ? highly unusual. They opened up the walls in sections, and room by room, hoping that the mold would be confined to a limited area. It turned out that the studs and trusses throughout my entire house were contaminated. The house had to be entirely gutted. This required them to pack up ALL of my possessions, and I called movers to place everything ? including appliances ? in storage.   The magnitude of the job was not anticipated when the work began. They, and I, had to keep adjusting as the walls were opened up and the extent of the mold was revealed.   <br /> <br /> Mr. Annibal and his team were responsive and conscientious. I am an involved consumer and I wanted to see it for myself. Mr. Annibal suited me up and provided me with the necessary breathing equipment to go into the house. I also have health issues and was very concerned about the products that would be used. Mr. Annibal discussed at length with me the product choices, pros and cons, his recommendations, and provided me with literature about the products. Mr. Annibal was, at all times, very open and transparent about what was being done and why.   <br /> <br /> Mr. Annibal?s team of workers was excellent. They were, at all times, courteous and respectful, as well as being diligent and careful workers in my home. In packing every possession I own, they were organized, handled things with care and took extra care with fragile items. They also worked well with my movers, HEPA vacuuming my furniture and boxes as they were removed from the house, and helping in other ways.   Mr. Annibal and his team went above and beyond in what I expected in keeping the job moving forward even as it was growing far beyond what anyone anticipated. They worked overtime on the weekends to keep things moving along, expressing their awareness that each day was costing me extra money because I was now staying in a hotel. We had expected that I would be in the hotel 10-14 days but were well beyond that now.   Despite the enormity of the job (over 900 construction-sized large garbage bags of drywall were removed to expose the studs and trusses), they remained diligent and thorough. The work was completed November 26th. The house was then post-remediation mold tested by an independent third party on November 27th. The house passed on the first try with very good numbers.   <br /> <br /> All in all an excellent job and I am very happy with the work done. Unfortunately there were a couple of small disappointments at the very end: 1) There was an additional item that Mr. Annibal offered to take care of after the testing, but he did not follow through, nor cancel. 2) I called him more recently requesting a quote for a small carpet cleaning job (another of the services offered by Artistic Carpet & Restoration) because I was able to find temporary housing other than the hotel but the carpet needed cleaning before I could move in ? Mr. Annibal did not return my call.   I am admittedly disappointed by the lack of follow through at the end, and lack of response regarding new work, but that does not change the fact that they did a superb job on the mold remediation work."
