I have had two other contractors come in my home since work has been completed and BOTH commented on what a good job they did.Very responsive, keep me calm thru process(LOL), and kept me informed of everything they were doing. EVEN replaced on of my lost tools!! JUST HIRE THEM!!! You will not be disappointed!!!"

"I moved into my house about two years ago and would get floods in my basement during every storm. I tried to fix it myself environmentally, but failed in my attempts. I then decided to finally fix the problem and get my basement waterproofed. Being relatively new to Delaware, I put in a request to get free estimates. I had a few companies come out to look at it and narrowed my choices down. I was down to Basement Waterproofing Specialists (BWS) and Basement Gurus. The difference was the representative from Basement Gurus had a more natural approach and took the time to ask numerous questions, as the other representatives asked little to no questions. The Basement Gurus representative suggested to fix internally AND externally, plus they even added a lateral system in my basement. No other company felt to even thought of a lateral systems or external drainage, or to even ask about it. I could not speak more highly of the representative and his team at Basement Gurus, they took the time to explain every step and the process before and during the installation to keep me involved with what was going on. The crew was extremely polite and respectful of my house, they were very efficient and they "did not play games" for lack of a better word. lol The very next day we had heavy rains, which I was excited to test out my waterproofing system! During and after it rained there was not even a single drop of water in my basement or laundry room. The representative even had his team remove and replace all of the studs that had become moldy and also put in new mold resistant drywall. Basement Gurus treated us as if we were family and for anyone looking to get waterproofing done in their house, call Basement Gurus, they truly stand themselves apart from the competition!"

They took the extra time to really evaluate the mold and water issues we had in our basement and explained in detail all of our options and the process involved in the resolution. The crew was knowledgeable, and professional. They reviewed the scope of work with us to make sure we were pleased with the process and results. They showed us pictures of the progress, tested the system sump pump in front of us, and went over how everything was put together and how the system will function. They also provide a good comprehensive warranty on the system. We'd recommend this company to anyone out there with similar issues in their basement."

"This was a simple sump pump replacement project. Some minor concerns: communication between home office and the on site contractor seemed a bit off (did not have a few supplies needed and had issues delivering a receipt after the project was completed) and cleanup after was not terrific. Minor issues aside, the contractor seemed knowledgable and the pump was installed as expected."

"It has now been a year since we had the waterproofing of our basement waterproofed. I waited this long because with this type of repair I believe you have to wait and see if it did what it was supposed to do. Of course we have had a very dry summer but we have had several heavy rains when it did rain. Please note that the customer service is rated very low: this is only because I have no idea what it is like and no reflection on the actual company in that respect. So hear is what I think: First and for most our basement has stayed dry. However, we had a footer that they replaced all around the base of the walls. We did everything we were told to do and yet there are still numerous cracks in it. My concern is that these cracks will allow the concrete to break. We paid $20000.00 for this fix and now have cracks. Was it worth it? Well we are dry so that's good, but for the money I am very disappointed to see all the cracks! This survey gave me no way to give the answer for post work so all I can go on is pre. The flaw in this is that I can only comment on when they were trying to sell the product to me. I found the salesmen was somewhat arrogant and pushy. We went with this company because we only had 1 other prospect (who we would have gone with, by the way, but despite what the salesman from Mid Atlantic would have you believe, offered the same warranty but wasn't able to get to us in time and we needed the work done)."
