He called the company and discovered that it had a defective part. Thomas removed it, returned it, and came right back with a new water heater which worked well. It must have been frustrating for him, although he was very professional. I can’t express strongly enough that I would definitely have him do future repairs if needed!!"

"David replaced my upstairs copper piping with PEX because I was having leaks in July of last year. He did a good job and had a good drywall repair man fix the drywall cutouts he had to make to access the pipes. He also advised me to have the PEX tubing in my crawlspace insulated, which I agreed. His pricing overall I thought was fair and would recommend him, however, last October I had occasion to go down to my crawl space and found that only half or less of the PEX tubing had been insulated. I informed David about this and he said he had since fired the two men whom he had assigned to do the job because of poor work habits and assured me he would come back and finish insulating the remaining tubing. I did not hear from him after that and so in April I contacted him by messaging, but he did not respond, nor again after trying to contact him again last month. I am now wondering if he is still in business here."

"I was charged $395 for a Big Blue filter housing installed by Aqua Clear Water System that replaced one that failed (sprang a leak). (This has nothing to do with the fact I change my own filters so any implication that it does is simply dishonest.) I later discovered that the identical filter housing also manufactured by Big Blue is available at The Home Depot for $69.95 and for $59.95 from Isopure Water. The Aqua Clear price of $395 did not include tools or other parts, nor did it include the service call fee and labor charge of $185. Despite the Aqua Clear general manager’s claim that his service fee is in the middle of the pack for Knoxville, others I called (Pipe Wrench, Hiller and Tennessee Standard Plumbing) charge between $39 and $69 and those fees are typically deducted from the bill. The Aqua Clear service technician told me that because the filter housing was just a few days out of warranty there would be no charge. Despite his good intentions, the general manager told him to charge the entire $395, pushing my bill to $580. So there was no transparent pricing and I did not agree to the charge prior to the work being performed. In fact, I was shocked that I was being charged hundreds of dollars for what is essentially a big plastic threaded cup that sells for hundreds less at other retailers. After some haggling, I was able to get the bill reduced to $480, which I think is still unreasonable. The quality of the work, especially where the technician was concerned, wasn't the issue. I have no problem paying more than is customary for high-quality work I can trust, but I do object to price gouging and deception."

"This is a great company. They also did a HUGE job rebuilding plumbing in our new church. This included breaking up a concrete floor in the ladies bathroom and digging down about 3 or 4 feet to replace the drain pipe. All this work for a VERY GOOD price!!"

"Excellent communication, service and work! We are impressed with the efficiency and diligence of Superior Plumbing. Initially, JJ met with us for an estimate. He was courteous, friendly and arrived on time for the estimate. Additionally, a text notification was sent indicating that he was on his way to our home. The estimate was reasonably priced, and he was able to schedule the work within a few days. On the day of service, we received a text letting us know that they were on their way. JJ and John did excellent work, explained what they had done, and charged what they quoted. Superior Plumbing installed new pex in a shower as well as re-plumbed and centered the drain. We will continue to use Superior Plumbing for any future plumbing needs."
