"I hired Long Island handyman construction group to remodel a 400sf basement and bathroom in Melville. They were priced in the middle compared to other bids. I picked them thanks to their out of the box advice which saved me thousands of dollars. There was one problem with the plumbing which cost an extra 1800 dollars. The owner settled with me 50/50 even though it was a pre-existing issue. The project was started early and completed early. All mess was cleaned up and the crew was very friendly and fully aware. He and his team did an excellent job gutting and totally remodeling two bathrooms and a closet as well as redoing some of the wood flooring, moving vents, and moving hallways. Arthur himself was at the home everyday and did the important work himself. He also went the extra mile in helping us with small projects around the major project as they came up. He was extremely responsive in provided us with timely updates. When complications occurred (due to the house having not been renovated in 40 years) he was clear and helpful in keeping the project on schedule. "contacted Gus for recent roof leak; he was here the same day. He first went into attic space (while there he replaced a burned-out light bulb) to check location of leak, took photos, had me view them; then went on the roof. He located popped nails, which he removed and sealed. Took photo of that as well as surrounding area which he also sealed with a product called, through the roof. He came down and told me the roof vent required a cap and said he would return to install it. Once he installed cap, he also took the opportunity to blow the leaves from the gutter. Once on the ground, he proceeded to blow leaves and debris from front and back walkways."
