This was my first time ever getting a kitchen remodeled, and I did not know how to go about it or even know where to start. From the initial design phase to the final walkthrough, Richard and his team were professional and attentive. The small and outdated kitchen turned it into an open-concept, modern space. The cabinet quality is fantastic, and the attention to detail on the custom backsplash is wonderful. Richard managed the project from top to bottom and kept me informed and updated daily. He and the team were very respectful of the home and made sure that the house was locked up when he left. He offered his personal feedback on the color choices for the cabinets and the use of space. He completed on schedule and within the agreed budget. I highly recommend Richard and his team for anyone considering remodeling their kitchen."

"The KN Remodeling team did an excellent job at our home completely remodeling 3 bathrooms, painting our entire home and rebuilding a huge planter outside. We trusted them in our home while we are out of town almost the entire time. We hired them back to do additional work in our home that they did quickly and expertly. "Our initial meeting with Suj was great. Initially, we had in mind a much larger job. He had quoted us $3000 for the closet demolition / wall rebuild (non-load bearing), packaged with several other items. Together with the fee for drawings ($4000) and permits, this was a bit higher than we anticipated. However, we decided to go with Suj due to his responsiveness and professionalism. Out of our other quotes, Suj’s pricing was middle of the pack - not the cheapest or most expensive. When the drawings were complete and evaluated, he gave us an updated cost of $6000 over text message. The scope of work had changed, and this was no longer part of a bigger project - understandable. The issue was when he gave us the official estimate a week later and up’d the price once again to $9000. When asked what happened, his exact words were “well, I need to get paid too”. He had weeks to consider before quoting the $6000 and nothing had changed since then. The extra $3000 may be insignificant compared to most renovation costs, but for us in our first home, this was back breaking. We continued with Suj since we were already locked in and well past the 3 day cancellation period. Their work for the most part was exceptional. The new wall blended perfectly into our existing structure, and the ceiling patch was also well done. The problem here was the floor. They had dug up a 1” deep pit in the floor, likely to remove the wall studs. However, they did not patch the floor or even let us know this was going to be an issue. We were never told about the pit until I decided to check in on their progress one day towards the end of the wall build. This required us to pay a handyman to come in next day on a weekend to patch the concrete since we had cabinets being installed the following Tuesday. Suj was aware of this and did not believe it pertinent information. Overall, Suj and SoCal Builders do quality work, but the issues in pricing consistency lost us before the work even started. Not even telling us that we’d be left with a 1” deep pit in our floor after was another huge issue which should’ve been brought up much earlier. This was our first experience with a contractor and I’m not sure if this is typical or not. However, it’s enough to make me doubt I’d contact them for any future work."

"Our kitchen was in dire need of upgrades, and we met with many different contractors for estimates. Young from New Life Construction left the best impression by far, from his professionalism, renovation ideas and design, reasonable pricing, etc. I am so glad we decided to go with New Life as Young and his entire team were a delight to work with from start to finish. We received very helpful opinions regarding many aspects of the design and materials without it being overbearing, and it was helpful to see his previous projects through instagram (@newlife_construction) to see what has worked well for similar kitchens in the past. There was clear communication about everything from details of the job to scheduling and everyone was very attentive to our needs throughout. This company handled the demolition, cleanup, cabinets, countertops, overhead lighting, painting, appliance installation (range/oven and dishwasher), sink and faucet installation for us-- pretty much everything in the kitchen except the floors. They bring in separate contractors that are specialists in their respective field (cabinets, countertop, etc) to do each portion of the project so you know you're truly getting the experts at every step of the way. Even after the project was done, Young went above and beyond to wrap up last-minute issues that came up from cabinet parts that were on backorder and to this day is responsive to any issues that may come up in the future. My family and I are so happy with how the kitchen turned out and we would not hesitate to hire Young and his team again for future projects."
