"This was not the experience we had ever imagined we would have with Matrix we could have worked with other companies and spent far less money but we thought we were getting a premium product and at a premium price! We had contracted Matrix in February to finish our basement, our salesman did a very good job taking the time to lay everything out give us our options and meet our vision the follow-up appointment to finalize went well and the gentleman really had a good knowledge of everything that needed to be done. The biggest problem we had was with the project manager and some of the trades that were brought in. The framers and finish carpenters did a wonderful job however the failures were many and project management was substandard for spending over six figures on a project. The damage that was caused to the finished portion of our house, walls, door jams garage door frame and other building errors that were made on electrical and plumbing were not addressed or handled appropriately"

"M&E Construction (general contractor and owner Marc) was horrible in every way from the very start. EVERY step of the project was screwed up by either Marc or his subcontractors. There is not enough room in this text box to describe the multitude of problems I had. The cost was exorbitant for what they did, the errors started from the very beginning with the ARCHITECT, deadlines were not met and extended way past the time I was told it would be done, to name just a few of the problems. I could go on and on and on. My next grievance is with Angi's List. Don't you vet these people? This guy is a con artist and a scammer/grifter. I would appreciate a call from someone in management (not just a customer service rep) to discuss the nightmare this project has been. The only reason I gave a 1-star rating is because I couldn't leave no stars or actually negative stars. I am HUGELY disappointed in Angi's List for doing business with this man. "
