"They came in with their team and went right to work. Only a portion of the basement needed to be waterproofed. They drilled out a 10-inch wide portion of the concrete floor, put stones, pipe, more stones and re-concreted that portion of the floor. Painted that wall with waterproof paint leaving me the rest of the painting to do (my choice). Drilled a hole at the bottom of each cinderblock which drained into a grey baseboard material which then drained into the pipe and flowed into the sump pump. Replaced the old basement window and placed concrete around it. Installed a sump pump, placed the pipe through the wall, placing the water exit pipe into a flower bed. Adding a circuit breaker dedicated to the sump pump. They described everything they were going to do prior to the job and everything they did at the completion of the job. Also, explaining how the sump pump worked. The total cost was $4200.00. The best part they cleaned up after. Oh and before they did anything they placed plastic all around so as not to ruin anything in the basement. I did not have to lift a finger."

A project manager came out to assess our situation; he came up with a proposed solution on the spot, provided us with a written proposal and sample photos of other similar work they had done. The work required excavating a small portion of the foundation on the exterior and filling a crack in the foundation wall down to the footers. The crew came out as scheduled and completed the job in a single day as predicted. "PRO: For installing an interior French drain, while it was pouring outside, the crew was extremely clean. Both my yard and interior of my house was left with only minor evidence of the work. PRO: The initial consultation with Phil Thistle was informative and provided me with piece of mind in terms of the project and projected outcome. It seemed as though we would have support throughout the project. PRO: Owen Dan Kelly is very dedicated to the quality of his company and the work they do. Once he found out about some of the concerns I had with the project, he remedied them immediately. I was very impressed with the attention he provides his customers. CON: Communication. Up to the install, I was in constant contact with the company about timing and expectations. However, as soon as the install began and then directly after, I was on my own. There seemed to be no one overseeing the install, just the crew doing the work. Also, there were miscommunications about the project throughout the install; the crew was asking me for direction on installation steps I have no background on. CON: Support. Again, as soon as the install was complete, that was it. Phil showed me images of pictures he took with satisfied customers on past installs, making me feel that he was dedicated to the project's success. However, after the consultation, even though he was copied on various emails about some of my concerns, he never got back in touch. In addition, no one ever contacted me to see if I had questions about the finished product, to see how everything turned out, or if there was anything else I needed. CON: Timing. The crew was on-time for the install both days, however, the schedule was more impactful to my routine than expected. The crew worked 9AM - 3PM only on Day 1. However, to finish in 2 days, they worked 8:30AM - 7:30PM on Day 2. As I have a small child, having construction still happening after 7:30PM was difficult, but more so was confusing as Day 1 ended so early."

"We were having our basement insulated. The workers informed us that the sill plate on one side of a large crawl space, as well as portions of at least three joists, were rotted and needed replacing before they finished their job. We called Foundation Experts and Nick Jones came out the next day to give us an estimate. We accepted it, and the job was done the next week. As far as we can tell, the work was done properly as well as neatly and promptly. The workers were pleasant to deal with and did a few other small jobs they noticed at no additional charge.

"Tom was very polite and knew his stuff when he came over for the estimate.  Always on time and if he was running late called.    Estimate was very competitive with others after a little bit of going back and forth with provider.   I made sure to be very specific on understanding what was a typical installation as included in the price and what I wanted done.  Worked with Kelly in their office who was very helpful in scheduling and any questions along the way.   They took care of permits and inspections.   They started the job on the promised date.  Full project took about a week.  Stopped over to see progress on first day and noticed some walls were not totally removed as promised.  After crew called back to the office to confirm they finished up as required.    Jackhammered the perimeter floor and installed drain without any issue.  They were able to use existing sump pits with some effort but they did it.  Existing floor tiling cut as straight as possible when trench was dug to allow for replacement tiles after installation.   Could have easily just tore the floor up without regard for owner having to replace but they didn't.  Stuff in basement was covered the best they could but there is a lot of dust with this work.  Fans & filters used to minimize mess.    After completion of work noticed some damage to drop ceiling and some other small issues when I did the final walk thru before final payment.  Spoke with project manager over the phone and described what was wrong.  Foreman and project manager stopped over to see the issues and spent the day correcting everything...going to Home Depot to buy whatever was needed, making repairs, etc.     Things happen during a job but these guys really took care of things the right way to keep the customer happy.  i would definitely recommend Healthy Way for this type work.
