"My 8 year old Kenmore washing machine died a quiet death on me. I immediately went to Angie's List for repair options. Mobile Appliance Repair was my choice and I wasn't disappointed except for the fact that I will have to buy a new machine since the bearings are toast and any repair would not be worth it. The repair person showed up in the designated time and was friendly and very informative. Only had to pay service charge for the visit. Will definitely use again."

"After receiving the recommendation from Home Adviser and was contacted by Craig from American Appliance i explained to him my problem getting my Daughters oven repaired by another company that responded, charged her for a service call, and told her he would contact her when her part is received, needless to say he never called back. When I talked to Craig I explained to him our problem and what the other company had found to be the potential problem. I gave Craig the manufacture and model number of the range and he researched the part and called me back that it could be the problem, but instead of coming out to Va. Beach and charging a service call he would order the part and when it comes in make an appointment. When the part was received Craig made the appointment and showed up on time, explained that he wanted to diagnosis the oven to make sure the relay board was indeed the problem because if he installed it and it was not the problem he cannot return it. Craig and Mike replaced the defective board and fixed the oven. Thanks and will use American Appliance again if I ever need any of my appliances repaired."

"First off, the electrician who came out was fantastic. Dan was on-time and got the work done without any issues. As you can select the person that comes out, I would highly recommend him to those who book on the site. He was also helpful in sorting out the billing issue... As has been noted by others, the pricing and the deal listed on here (service call and 30 minutes for $99) is not as clear as it should be. The company website has some additional costs that are easy to miss when you book and how it is written on the deal does not reflect that (or could be described as being a bit unclear and unspecified). They (through Dan's efforts) were able to knock off the materials cost when I paid, but I still had to pay an additional $29.50 for the fleet maintenance fee (at time of sale; this was later refunded). Again, this is unclear in the Angie's list deal and I imagine people miss this and the materials fee when they book as they assume the Angie's deal includes this. I spoke with the office after the service call to discuss the clarity of the deal for future customers, and said they would work with Angie's list to make this clearer in the deal, which I think has been the main issue other recent reviews have had a problem with. I would use their services again, but most likely just for larger electrical jobs."

"James was outstanding! Our refrigerator died on a Friday evening, we called numerous appliance repair numbers but found that none worked on a weekend. Then we called Way Cool, and although they were not scheduled to work that weekend, James, the owner, came deduced that the compressor had died, ordered it, and when it came in installed it within a few days. Great service, courteous, highly recommended. We have his number on our speed dial! We live in Fords Colony, Williamsburg, if that helps to place us in geographical proximity to where you are."
