"Overall, Tom was personable, professional, and he got the job done fairly easily. I trusted his judgment in what kind of mounting hardware to use into the wall -- which was probably the one issue I had with how things went. Mr Handyman only provides their labor; the customer needs to provide ALL materials, which initially was challenging because the guy that I spoke to on the phone said that I had to wait until their guy arrived to even know what parts to get! He said the handyman would tell me what to get, and I'd need to go to the store -- while the guy is at my house -- and get the mounting hardware! (As a side note ... who would leave their house with someone they don't know inside it?). But then when I protested on the phone, he suggested I go to Home Depot and ask them, and get what they suggested (which made me wonder ... I'm hiring them for THEIR knowledge, right??). So my solution, which was the least painful in my mind, was to go to the hardware store and buy multiple different mounting options, and have them available for their guy to choose from (after which, I'll take the ones he didn't use back to the store). The only other point was the price, which, to explain ... Mr Handyman is a bit on the high side, because they charge for a full hour in addition to their service fee, even though Tom was only actually working at my house for about 30-40mins."

"Overall, the process went well. 8 weeks from order to install (first try). Everything was not done the first time due to an error in measurement - so new glass was ordered. Unfortunately, on round 2, the second picture window cracked - but 2 weeks later all done and looking good! As an aside, IWR was on time, the team hustled, and clean up after themselves. Second, 8 weeks was NOT an awful wait for a May order. Any construction firm with no backlog, might not have healthy orders."

"The team was professional and trustworthy. My wife & I both work and could not be home while the work was being done. We were able to provide New Horizon with our garage code to access the home and had no worries nor issues as a result... very convenient! We also have cats and agreed to seclude them to a portion of the home away from the work area so New Horizon did not have to contend with four legged supervisors nor chase them down the street in the event they escaped. Cats were fine and the team was able to get their work done without incident. We had the flooring delivered to the home, some stock placed upstairs, the remainder downstairs. They were able to retrieve the stock when needed and no walls were damaged in the process! The project spanned 6 days. The team prep'd the floor by securing the sub-floor eliminating as many of the squeaks as possible. A paper product was then stapled to the sub floor and the work began... in the peak of the summer with high heat & humidity. I think the team lost some weight due to the temperature but work progressed. Each night I snapped pictures to record progress... I always found the house secured upon arrival, the work area was clean & safe, and the access areas to the work site were cleaned (nothing left on the new floor). New Horizon also made some great suggestions for us to consider regarding railing on the stairs and at the top of the landing... not in an effort to get more business but as a service to us. For this we are grateful and will consider. Will we contact New Horizon for our next project? YES! Would I recommend New Horizon for someone else's project? ABSOLUTELY without hesitation!"
