"A soft wall due to improperly installed gutter by some other entity or homeowner caused water to constantly leak into the wall from the exterior roofline. This soft wall grow moldy and become riddled with pests/bugs. The contractor identified the potential issues, agreed to explore and open the walls and discuss the conditions, made sound recommendations for repair and did exactly what was noted in the repair (replaced a load bearing exterior wall, fixed the sill plate, completed the roof, shingles etc. and closed up the walls on the inside with insulation and sheet rock.). The work was timely, well done, the workers were clean as they did the job and kept the rest of the property clean. The manager of the job David Apel was and is an excellent communicator with phone/email/text and photos of processes and progress. I am going to use this company in my own investment endeavors on other properties and projects given the level of finished work, the timing and especially the level of detailed communication."

So the job started in December 2011 and finished in March 2012 .  I wish it could have been done quicker but after all the damage from the tornado and then the weird snow storm we had in October they had a lot of jobs to do.  
Our house looks absolutely beautiful.  Before the improvement our house looked tired and run down.  Now our house that was built in 1926 looks like a brand new house.  Art Corriveau who did the carpentry work on the porch did an excellent job.  He takes a lot of pride in this work.  He put some special touches on the door frames and windows on our porch that just look fantastic.  
My husband got quite a few estimates from other companies and Sturdy was the one that gave us the quality we wanted and the price that we could afford.  Everything written on the contract we got.
In a few years we would like to redo our kitchen and I'm sure we will do our homework again and get a bunch of quotes.  We will definitely contact Sturdy to have them give us a quote.

"Stairs are okay but they charged me in full before project start because they couldn't invoice me for just the deposit. Then Pushed me to carpet them instead of drywalling the closet portion cuz they saved and reused the wood panels that weren't supposed to line up because I wanted the stairs completely rebuilt not just wider boards slapped on top. I had no choice of carpet some subcontractor showed up and installed medium pile light gray carpet and the owner or supervisor for Navarro only was there to start even tho her guys could not speak English to communicate with me she was supposed to return to check the work and she never did, when I called it sounded like she was at social hour with friends and didn't care cuz she already got her money. Haven't seen her or heard from her since and I've fallen down the stairs 3 times due to the carpet they had installed witch can't be removed without the staris looking like a horrible mismatch of old and new wood which defeats the whole point."
