Small jobs welcome

"Charlie did a great job getting my new lights installed. It could have possibly been a 2 man job but he got the job done. I did not have everything I needed to complete the job so he ran out to get it. He even offered to pick up new light bulbs for me. When the task was over he asked for a broom to clean up which seems to be a rarity these days and even took all the trash with him instead of overfilling my trash cans. I truly appreciate his thoroughness and extra help. I plan on hiring him in the future and will refer him to others. "

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Hayden, ID

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
