Jeremy did our initial estimate and provided us with a thorough explanation of the system. I already had done a significant amount of research comparing Alarm.com to ADT and some of the self-install options, but Jeremy was able to provide even more information and help me to understand better the pros and cons of each approach. Larry did our installation and also was very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining each step of the installation process and providing me with a tutorial at the end. "First, Bob stopped by with an estimate at the agreed upon time. Then, within a few days we scheduled the work.  He arrived on time and started right away. He worked with the back porch ceiling fan light first. This very old fixture was ancient however Bob took the time to disassemble and installed the new ceiling fan. He is very meticulous at his job. Then, he worked with installing track lighting in the dining room area.  The track lighting is beautiful too.  Lastly, he worked with replacing the back porch light located outside.  He had to use an extension ladder to reach the light.  He completed all jobs within about couple hours.  Bob was very personable and professional.  He remained focused with the jobs. He is skilled at his job. 
Bob did a terrific job! Great job!  We will hire Bob again in the future.

"CW arrived on time and completed all tasks efficiently. The sliding door was challenging because the door slid into a wall, and the part that connects the door to the track had broken off. CW worked through the issues and fixed the door.

"Everything went pretty good. We had a few hiccups but it didn't bother us because we were not in a hurry. The project started on Oct 16, 2017. It did not really get completed till right before Thanksgiving which was Nov 23, 2017. The installer, Larry was very good and very nice. Dale personally came out to the house AT LEAST once a day if not 2 or 3 times. He really watched and managed our project, which really put us at ease. He is very much a perfectionist and stands behind the products and his work and will not have the project complete until everything is done to the utmost standard. Dale also called and emailed us to keep us up to speed with what was going on. We absolutely love the finished product. Since we were not familiar with what to do, Dale walked us through this step by step, explaining everything in detail. I changed some of my original colors the next day and he was happy to make the changes since he had not ordered any of the product yet. He has been doing this a long time and it shows because he really knows what is going on. Yes, I would definitely recommend Dale, Larry and the entire company to anyone looking to have this type of work done. They were recommended to me by a friend who was also VERY happy with their work. Please realize they are probably not the cheapest, but in the long run, I feel like they were the best bet for our money because I know the job was done right and I do not have to worry about anything falling apart or being sub standard. Since they also do windows, I had an issue with one of my windows (which they did not do) and Dale personally helped me and showed me what was wrong and how to fix it. Just another plus for this company."

"Nick came through and evaluated exactly what I needed done. He replaced the threshold on the door in my den. We just replaced the floors, and the floors are higher up. Nick did a great job, bought the parts needed, placed the threshold, sealed everything up, and now the doorway is sealed tight and no more issues. "When I received bids for my recent deck project, Chesterfield Fence and Deck was not the lowest. It was, however, the one company that was consistently held out by friends, family, neighbors and co-workers as the best deck and fence company in St. Louis. On the strength of those recommendations, I decided to engage CF&D and could not be happier that I did. The project involved installing a new Veka deck and replacing a window with French doors. The deck installation was efficient and flawless. Despite the freezing temperatures, Neal and his crew did beautiful work and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Once the door portion of the project was underway, it became evident that the project was a bit more complex than was originally contemplated (old homes with brick walls sometimes come with surprises). Despite the additional complexity of the project and the additional costs needed to complete it, CF&D honored the pricing in the original contract, cutting into their own profits to do so. Even more importantly, the company’s customer service was exceptional throughout the process (even when faced with an admittedly difficult customer). At one point in the project, a scheduling miscommunication resulted in a hole in the wall being left uncovered at the end of the day. Upon learning of the problem, the project manager, Steve Dudas, was at the house within the hour to personally board up the wall and ensure the home would be safe overnight. When I woke up to see freezing rain outside the next morning (December 23rd), I resigned myself to my home being a bit of a construction site over Christmas. Much to my surprise, moments later, Neal, Steve and their teams showed up and started working. I later learned that they had brought along scaffolding to tent the project if necessary to get it done that day. As impressed as I was that the team showed up to work under those conditions, I was even more impressed with the quality of the work they performed. Throughout the project I was told by everyone from the president of the company to the sales staff that CF&D’s number one priority is customer satisfaction and that they will always choose customer service over profit. They consistently demonstrated that they are willing to stand behind those promises. I could not recommend them more highly."
