"Since this remodeling was the first remodeling that we decided to do after a long time since we did our last remodeling that required to hire a contractor to do it. The kitchen that we wanted to remodel, need to includes the cabinets, floors, island, counter tops, hardware, paint and lighting. We also wanted to do as many energy efficient features that will help us reducing the bills during time. Our search was for high quality and low quality and reputable construction companies that can service my area. Landmark construction energy crew was the great find that I was able to talk to and hire. First off their service was top notch. They were very responsive from the first meeting we had, patiently and really wanted to know what I’m trying to do in the kitchen. They were in touch with me during the whole work and made sure to provide me with updates regard anything that was complete and what will be next. What I liked most was that they were extremely detail-oriented. I very much appreciated that, especially given the Major scope of my project and plans. The end results were more than I expected. All the low voltage lightings, the special insulation that they used, the extra protection that they installed in the window that I have in the kitchen and more… All of this features improved the energy protection at the kitchen. They followed up with me the following day after all the final documents were signed off by me about the work in order to make sure that I was happy with the final results. I'm happy to mention that kitchen remodeling project was completed a little bit before the due date."

This second home is a one-of-a-kind designed Mid-Century Modern classic home, and we have been very fussy about how the windows needed to look in order to retain the essential look and style of the old window styles. Hawkins has been able to provide us with really spectacular replacements. Gary Hawkins, the owner, came personally to look at our home and listen to our concerns, and then was able to select the precise windows we asked for. We find them to be reasonably priced and responsive to concerns. Since they have done multiple jobs for us, we know they do a great job of keeping their customers happy and also hit the "budget-friendly" button, too! This project includes replacing 3 sliding glass doors, (one which is 10 feet wide), 18 windows, (3 of which are 8+ feet wide picture windows), 4 floor-to-ceiling fixed tempered windows, and 3 specialty reeded glass windows."

"I had some issues requiring termite, and they applied orange oil--a very pleasant odor, and I didn't have to move myself, my pet, and food from the house (as with previous years-ago tenting). There was a problem with their subsequent repair work done to the wood, and I asked Dan Haakma, their wood repair specialist, to stop by to ensure the workers took care of everything. Unfortunately, much of the work was not done correctly. I was delighted to see that, instead of discovering this and then rescheduling the work, Dan stayed another 4 hours to complete the work himself--and done beautifully."

"I've reviewed Rick before -- the more we use his service the more we appreciate him!  This time we had a mystery  -- flickering lights, power drops to things like the microwave and other appliances, but breakers (and everything we could test ourselves) looked fine.  We had several contractor friends try to figure out what was wrong, but couldn't pin it down.  One suggestion was it might be a power  problem with  PG&E, but our friend said to get a specialist to scope out the system before we called them.  That meant Rick. <br /> I called him, and he got back to me in the morning.  He sandwiched us in among several emergency calls and arrived exactly when he said he would -- with my tight schedule, that's appreciated.  I met him in front of the house and told him what was happening.  Before we even went inside, he looked up at the weatherhead and said he could see at least one problem -- looked like we might have a burned wire up there.  He went to get his ladder and check. <br /> Moments later, he came down and said we had a badly-deteriorated ground wire that he was going to replace immediately, and that he would come back and replace the other wires as well, since they had probably been there since the house was built in the 50s.  We made sure the computers were shut down and he went up on the roof again. <br /> About an hour later the microwave (which was our most visible symptom) was operating without power drops.  He could have counted the problem solved -- a lot of guys would.  But this morning, he called me and said he still wanted to replace the other wires, and tape them with weather-resistant material, just to make sure. <br /> Between our home and another property of ours, we've used Rick's services eight times now -- for the heating system (as reviewed before), to add security lights, electrify a couple of outbuildings, put in some vent fans, repair some bad wiring, and now this lovely bit of detective work.  Just one more reason Mr. Alves is our go-to guy. <br />"
