"I contacted Chesapeake Roofing, Windows, and Siding about installing a new roof on my townhouse. The estimate I received was actually over $1,000 LESS than what my neighbors paid last year to have their roofs replaced by another local company. I signed the contact but was contacted by my HOA board shortly thereafter who said I needed to change the type of shingle I had put in my contact as it was not the approved shingle type for our community. Chesapeake Roofing, Windows, and Siding told me it was no problem to change the shingle type and quickly drafted me up a new contact to sign. Domenic and Kurt also kept me well informed about when my new roof would be installed as the original date had to be pushed back a few days due to rain. Domenic and his crew cleaned up very well after the roof was installed - my neighbor also told me she was impressed how well they cleaned up. There was a minor issue with some gunk from the gutters that was left on my neighbors siding, however, Kurt responded immediately when I called about this and the debris was power washed clean the next day. I would definitely recommend Chesapeake, Roofing, and Siding to anyone looking to have a new roof installed based on my positive experience!"

"They replaced our roof this summer and replaced our back patio door this fall. We had great experiences with both projects. Communication was excellent, right from the start. Our sales contact was (and still is) amazing, answered all my questions, and impressed me with his knowledge of the products and the company itself. The handoff to each project manager was smooth, we had folks come out in advance to measure and inspect the project area, on the day of each project manager visited the house and/or contacted us throughout the day to check on things and see if we had questions, and the workmen themselves were friendly and professional. We had a very minor warranty issue on the roof (a visible nail head) that I found after climbing up there myself, and they had their guy back the next day to fix it, which was excellent service and gave me a great deal of confidence about them honoring the warranty. "I received my quote from Jay who was obviously very knowledgeable and less of a salesman than the representatives of other companies. The quote he gave me was middle of the pack, but was given on an actual signable contract detailing the whole process. This was in sharp contrast due to other quotes (e.g. a handwritten number on a blank piece of paper, or a basic $X for this shingle, $Y for this shingle). The quote also included quotes for all the options (new gutters, new skylights, etc.) which I didn't ask for but were nice to have. I ended up getting the skylights replaced anyway. Jay was also responsive to questions I had when another company began bargaining to get my business. They eventually made a very comparable offer, but the peace of mind of having a contract and the lack of salesmanship made me choose Certified. I got the quote just before Christmas due to signs of a leak appearing on a ceiling. The holidays are an awkward time to get work done, and I was worried that I would be waiting a long time, but I received notice on the first Monday after the holiday break that the materials would be delivered the next day and work would begin the day after that. The work took about a day and a half, with the workers showing up promptly at 7:30 AM both days, right when they said they would. They worked quickly but to my eyes everything was done by the book. Only time will tell with a roof. They cleaned up afterwards, and I have not found any nails or other metal bits, just a few pieces of old shingle and some plastic. The roof and flashing look good, and all points in the contract were completed. My only complaint is that there appear to be two different sizes of flashing used, and there is one long run where the two different sizes meet that doesn't look great aesthetically (though they are connected via a silicone caulk, so I don't worry about the functionality). There could be a reason for this that I don't know about."
