"He was actually excellent. He didn't try to come out here and sell me a bunch of stuff that I didn't need. This guy came out and within 45 minutes, it was a done deal. It was extraordinarily reasonable. They showed up on time. If I have any other problems or anything, I'll definitely use them again. They were excellent. He charged more because he had to get onto the roof of my house and they had to go a sewer vent pipe on the roof 'cause I didn't have an access at ground level or theough the bathroom. His machine had a snake that went 150 feet out and he went all the way out at about 120 feet or so to get to the main problem that I was dealing with. He's very informative. He was very good at what he did in getting it done so I would definitely use him again if I ever have a problem. They were excellent throughout. They had a very quick response and took care of the business. They didn't leave any messes, didn't try to oversell me in anything I didn't need or anything like that. It was a pretty basic service but it was at a high level."

"not that great. basically paid $99 to get an estimate. included cleaning roof and minimal repairs. took a while to get appointment, and then when they came, they didn't even do the work! gave a really big estimate and then re-seheduled to have someone else do the work. they wouldn't totally replace the roof, gave different estimates to repair, I went with a different company to do a full roof rplacement."

"We have an older home, and needed to redo one of our bathrooms that had old, galvanized pipe. We had slightly more than two weeks to do the job and Joseph promised it could be done if we ordered all the fixtures in advance, which we did. With Johnny cracking the whip, we came in just under the wire, including a two-day delay caused by the city of LA, which cancelled one of our inspections at the last minute. We're very pleased with the result. The old bathroom had lovely tile from the '30s, which unfortunately had to go as the demo took everything down to the studs. At Joseph's suggestion, we replaced the tile with travertine, which is georgeous. Wainscoting all around gave the right period look to match the rest of the house. Once again, BG did not disappoint. They are extremely professional and conscientious, and all the work first rate. (Thanks again Ricardo and George.) You will possibly find someone to do your remodeling job a bit cheaper, but you will never have to worry about shoddy work with this company. We asked for several extras along the way which were cheerfully provided at minimal cost (eg, the makeshift bookshelves in an adjacent closet came loose during the demo--Johnny replaced them with much higher quality work). "Using MasterServ is a perfect example of the pros and cons of using a big company. They were able to offer a lower price (by several hundred dollars) than other estimates I received because they specialize in volume (and not necessarily quality). The estimator who came was extremely pleasant and professional, however, internal communication in this company is a disaster. Therefore, small details like getting a new shower valve installed and installign new shower heads were initially overlooked by the installers because this wasn't communicated between the estimator and the crew. I never met the so-called project manager, who should have been there the first day to make sure everyone was on the same page about what was to be done. It was explained to me by the estimator that it would be a two-day job (true). The first day, the crew showed up and spent about two hours cutting holes in the walls and prepping the house. The second day they were there from 7 AM until 830 at night, working like crazy to get it done that day -- very stressful. When I saw that they hadn't installed the new shower valve, I got some grief from the crew and the so-called project manager over the phone, and this was eventually rectified with me paying an extra $200 to have the crew come back for an hour or so to install. When the job was complete they had disconnected and capped some old galvanized pipes, but with the new water pressure they blew out a couple weeks later (because they make their money by moving fast, quality and client communication suffer!). The guy they sent to do the drywall patching was a total incompetent. He showed up a couple days after the plumbing work was done started work and left mid-day saying he'd be back the next day to finish, though he never did return. I called the so-called project manager who was surprised to hear that the job wasn't done and it took a few more days for them to schedule a new guy to come out who had to re-do everything because the first guy was incompetent. In the final analysis, this company was the cheapest alternative, but there were a lot of headaches -- stay on top of them and make sure they do the work correctly!"

"The old fixtures were difficult to remove and required Rudy to saw one of them out.  The new fixtures were too short to install in the tile countertop, and required Rudy to route out some of the wood underneath the tile and concrete to make room.  The extra work turned a one day appointment into a two day effort, but he handled everything professionally and was extremely fair in his pricing. The installation looks great and works exactly like it should.
