"I conduct an annual cleaning with Dr. Flue because the outcome is excellent. I operate my stove 24/7 during the winter months, so it takes a beating. Upon inspection, I had some issues with the glass and door on my wood stove. They are ordering the necessary parts, and will come back to completely repair my stove. Excellent service"

"The work was very professional very satisfied. Built a 10×20 shed no complaints. Would definitely hire again. And I would recommend him to anyone I know always. He knows what he is doing in his trade of business."

"<br /> We recently purchased a home that needed some work both inside and outside. We wanted to tackle and focus our attention on the outside repairs for now. Bryan and Cheryl of Homeland Renovations & Repairs responsed promptly to our reguest for a work estimate. During the onsite repair review, they were attentive to our questions and concerns and offered some suggestions. It was a relatively a short time after the onsite review, that they provided a work estimate, were hired, initiated and completed all the repairs - all within the estimated time frame despite the added work repairing the water damaged that was discovered after and not included in the original work estimate. <br /> <br /> Bryan, Cheryl and the staff of Homeland Renovations and Repairs are a pleasure to work with and are true professionals. We were so impressed with them and the quality of their work that we've asked them to provide an estimate for our unfinished garage."

"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Hillsdale, MI

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
