I Had them replace three shutoff valves under the sink which were frozen and had small leaks. "Wow! Amazing! After a sewer blockage early on Friday morning was cleared by another company (a highly rated Angie’s List company) I was given a quote by that company to repair an offset sewer pipe just outside of the house. The quote was over $5500. Since the job was not expected and I was unfamiliar with with the situation, I wanted to get a second estimate. The original company salesman was trying to put a lot of pressure on me to have the job done by them. Fortunately, I called R&P for a second quote. The owner called me back a couple of hours later and we discussed the situation by phone. He was extremely friendly and communicative. I sent him some pictures and he quoted a maximum of $3300 depending on whether they had to cut thru the foundation or not. The job was scheduled for today and R&P sent a crew of 2. They couldn’t have been nicer and were very professional. The job took about 6 hours and I was able to take pictures of the progress and finished job. In the end, the total cost was $2850, almost half the estimate from the original company. I will definitely call R&P for any sewer and drainage work in the future. My only regret was that I didn’t call them first."

"I was referred to this company by a contractor working on the house next door. I requested that Associated gave me two estimates, one for the work described above (but including a replacement toilet in the main bath and without the cutoff valves, and just fixing the leaking hot water valve in the family room sink) and a second for the above but with replacing the tub and sink including a tub surround in the main bathroom. After I got the estimate, I decided to ask the contractor to remodel the main bath, and just have Associated do the work already described, including the cutoff valves so I would have a bathroom to use while the main bath was being remodeled. They came on time and got to work right away. When they got to the leaking hot water faucet in the family room they found they could not repair the 30+ year old valve, and would have to come back with a new faucet assembly. It was at this point that I discussed with them that I wanted the cutoff valves installed. They told me they could come back on Monday with the new faucet and install the cutoff valves. On Monday we spent about 20 minutes moving stuff out of the way in the utility room so they could get to the pipes. This was my fault as I misunderstood where they were going to put the valves. One guy installed the new faucet while the other started cutting the pipes. They worked together installing the valves and were done in about an hour, but when the water was turned on the hot water valve had a leak. It took almost another hour trying to get the solder to stick on the top side of the join near the ceiling and only a few inches from a wall, making it almost impossible to see. When he wrote up the bill, he DID NOT charge me for the extra time it took them to install the valve. Altogether, I have to say I would recommend this company to my friends."
