"I had a wonderful experience working with this company from start to finish. The sales rep was awesome and very responsive. The company was very professional and came through on all their promises. They were very accommodating with installation as I was living up North and had to schedule a trip to my home in Boynton Beach to get this completed. They installation team was awesome. They left no mess behind!! I had every window and door replaced in my home. Overall wonderful experience. I would highly recommend."

"This is the second time I have used Jupiter Screen Repair. The first was to repair a couple of panels and this time was a total rescreen. The price was very reasonable. Everyone I have encountered from this business is polite, professional and courteous. The work performed was perfect. My enclosure looks like new. They also clean everything up after they are done. I highly recommend them."

"Great experience. I would hire again. John was on time, knowledgeable, & turned my quote around quickly. When I was ready to sign the contract, he explained everything and answered all my questions right there. Once the permit was secured, they came out for the final measurements on Monday, explained they will send them to the factory so my frame can be built. By Wednesday afternoon they were calling to setup my installation appointment. They installed Thursday & Friday. My porch looks great. It also withstood hurricane Irma, no structural damage or loss of screen fabric."

"This is the second time I have used this company for screen repair. The wind took out some spline on my pool screen panels. After a hurricane is a busy time for repairs, and they warned me that it might take some time to get to all customers. I said my repairs were minor and could wait. They kept in touch and eventually came out to do the work. My screens look great. The charge was fair and not inflated because of demand."

"The work went very well. Both Stacy and Hunter arrived when they were scheduled to and were very personable and professional. For the amount of work done, I feel I got a great price. (No amount of money could get me to walk on the top of the enclosure like Hunter did). They also checked for damage I had not noticed and made a few minor repairs to screens that weren't totally damaged. I have additional work I'm planning for the future and Jay K Screens will definitely be my "go to" guys."

"Just wanted to let everyone know that we checked out several companies that installed impact windows and doors, and because of the quality we selected Paradise Exteriors to install our windows and doors. We met with Chris and he provided excellent knowledge of the product materials, and explained how the process works. He made sure we were comfortable with the product, materials, and price of the windows and doors. We are anxiously waiting for the installation process to be completed, and we will take pictures of the finished product."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Hobe Sound, FL

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
