"Excellent experience with this company!! Competitive price, professional, prompt and both systems past Town of Cary Inspection on 1st visit. We replaced HVAC systems at 3 of our rental properties this summer. This was the 3rd company we used and by far the very best. We would have preferred to use the same contractor for all three. However, contractor 1 was very average, then contractor 2 for the 2nd property was a D rating at best. Too bad we didn't start with Yellow Dot to begin with."

"Purchased the special through Angie's list with $10 to be paid to the service provider. The up-sale began right away with a special cleaner that could clean the coils better for $75. I gave the go ahead thinking that would give less reason for anything else to go wrong, despite knowing that is a profit padder. I was also told the pressure was running high due to dirty air filters. I have 2 intakes, one with an electrostatic filter that I was told is junk, and one regular which had been cleaned/changed two weeks before. Due to high pressures, the pound of freon that is included with the tune-up could not be used. A cool spell came through, so the a/c didn't need to work very hard, but a couple days later the unit froze up. I shut it off to thaw, hoping this was a fluke since the a/c had been working fine. It froze again, so I called ABS to let him know. He promptly came out the next day and said I was low on freon. I told him to add up to the pound that was included but was told he couldn't tell how much it would take. It only took 1/2 pound so there was no additional charge and the a/c has worked fine since. I understand that a business has to make money, and up-selling is part of that, but I expect honest service at a fair price. I would prefer to be informed about the additional services instead of told it is needed for the unit to work correctly. It may be coincidental, but all the events that occurred put me on guard about the situation. I hope I'm just paranoid because the service was prompt and the end result was as I hoped. I don't mind paying for what I get but like to know that everything is legit."
