And $69.95 is more than reasonable for this work. I will definitely use McCrea to service my heat pump from now on."

Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. It's a family-owned business and I believe it was the daughter who assisted me on that evening and while my car was being worked on, she actually drove me to the mall so that my daughter and I could shop while my car was being repaired and that's why I say the service is excellent. "The Technician was very professional,competent and responsive.
The company shows business hours 24/7. However, the customer support of the company after regular business hours is managed by a third party "answering service" who then relays customers' requests/ orders to the company's point of contact. I found it a little cumbersome to coordinate call through the third party answering service and there was an unnecessary lapse of conveying my request on time. However, for the most part, my experience with the company's direct customer support was without follies.
Being a small to medium size business, I wouldn't hold any experience as negative against the company. However, it will be better if they could manage their own calls answering service so that the orders can be processed within a reasonable timeline, specially for emergency services (e.g., no heating during freezing winter).
On my request, the technician gave me an informal pricing estimate for the replacement of the system which I needed.
At this time, they are within my top two prospective contractors for the final project of replacing the HVAC system.
I would strongly recommend them to other consumers looking for reliable, competitively priced, skilled professional company when considering heating/ cooling work.

After a beyond horrible experience with one of the Airport endorsed (shared) Van Services about a year and a half ago, I did not want to go with them again (or ever again for that matter!) and looked for an alternative on Angie's List.

Michael answered my phone call and arranged the trip for the following day confirming it by text message right away after I had send him details like my name, address and pick up time in the same way.

He himself showed up 5 minutes ahead of time in a big, clean car (with excellent AC on a above 90 degree humid day!), gave us all the time we needed to get ready, helped with stowing and unloading the luggage and gave us a very smooth ride to the airport.

Michael has been very well mannered, friendly and helpful to us and we are extremely happy with his service.
