"Roof & window we're repaired immediately. They showed up the following day after my initial call and provided an accurate estimate. Work commensed right after I signed the contract. The siding took a bit longer due to difficulty matching my 16 yr. old siding (an exact match was no longer being manufactured). I learned this is a common problem. Once an acceptable match was found; the work was completed promptly and correctly. Every effort was made to satisfy me (the customer) and they succeeded. I would hire them again for future needs."

"Vince called me back within hours of my sending him a message through Angie's List.  Even though he does not list Montgomery County as one of his service areas, he was completely willing to help us out.  In my message, I had requested the work to be done onsite but Vince explained why having him pick up the generator and take it back to his shop to work on it would make more sense.  His charge for pick-up and delivery back to us was only $34.95.
When Vince came to pick up the generator, he was on time and was able to give me a ballpark cost for the work (which turned out to be very accurate).  He said that he could get it back to us in 3-4 days but I asked if he could do it faster as there was a snow storm predicted for the next day or so.  Vince agreed to a shorter time line and ultimately got the generator back to us within 1 day!  There ended up being no snow storm but we got our generator back in working condition - along with a booklet of care instructions, a copy of our invoice, and a service history form.  A few days later we received a hand-written Thank You card in appreciation of our business.  I can't imagine how the service could have been any better.  We will use Vince for any future small engine repairs/maintenance we have and highly recommend him and his services.

Green mold stains and an accumulation of years of grime were no problem! He made our home's exterior look as clean and fresh as when we'd replaced the siding and gutters 7 years ago, all without the need for scrubbing, high pressure spray, abrasives or harsh chemicals. "The company showed up on time and conducted the shingle replacement being careful not to damage the gardens around the house. They brought the roof up to current code, (the roof no longer complied with local codes), and worked with our chimney company to install the flashing properly. The cleanup was performed in an acceptable manner and the work was finished on time. Follow-up inspections by the company and I showed I had a good roof that was going to last another long time. I would definitely recommend this company for roof work."

"We were extremely pleased with Hammer and Nail.  Everyone was very helpful and made good recommendations.  Hammer and Nail helped us select the best option for us.  (I really wanted wood windows, which I think are far more attractive) and I wanted low maintenance, easy to clean and energy efficiency.  We love our windows.  Hammer and Nail even perfectly matched the paint on the interior of the windows to the interior paint.  The work was done quickly with minimum disruption (including all the preparations for removing the windows which had previously been painted with lead paint).  We were so pleased, we asked them to replace the remaining windows and our front door.  The workmanship was excellent and everyone was also very kind and lovely to us.  We love Hammer and Nail!!!
