"The installation team of foreman Edgar, CO Shawn, and installers Ricardo and Randain were amazing! They were friendly, courteous, respectful, knowledgeable about their system, and very hardworking. They went above and beyond by completing my installation without cutting into my floors as was previously planned. They demonstrated outstanding teamwork and Edgar showed great leadership in leading by example. They are the main reason I am, and will, recommend complete basement systems. Clint Campbell that did the initial inspection was also very friendly and knowledgeable. The installation team is an asset to the company. Professional and excellent customer service. Great job, Edgar, Shawn, Ricardo, and Randain!"

"A tenant of ours called to tell us the toilet was running. I subsequently called The Neighborhood Handyman and spoke with Frank. He said he could be out in a couple hours. I met him at the property at our scheduled time. He identified the problem quickly and since he had the part with him, he was able to repair the toilet immediately. He was very professional. Frank explained the problem and how the new part (a new and less troublesome one) worked. I was thrilled to have this taken care of so quickly and reasonably. I will definitely call him again. <br />"

"They are honest about things that needed to be done, that he could or could not do. He has a lot going on and so he has to work on bigger project first but that is common. Sometimes if he do not have a big job you cannot really expect to get quick service, that kind of goes for a lot of people. I would use his services again in the future, as eventually it’s the right thing."

"Grant and his team did a great job.  Reece and Justin were the two who did the actual install/repair/re-installation of the flooring with Grant's oversight.  Grant was punctual with his timing on his estimate and the actual cost was what was agreed upon for the job. Reece and Justin did a terrific job with the actual installation and went above and beyond in many facets to make sure that the work was satisfactory based on our desires.  There were a few unexpected challenges during the job and rather than take the easy way out and just try to "make it work" they took the time to do it right the first time.  Justin and Reece's craftsmanship was top notch with regard to the installation of the laminate floor with good attention to detail so that the seams looked appropriate and the lines were straight.  Overall we are very pleased with the work and would recommend Good Hands to all of our friends and neighbors."

"There was cracking in the sheet-rock of my garage. I reported it to Taylor Morrison who sent out an engineer to take many measurements to determine if there was a structural issue with my house. Hunter Engineering's diagnosis was that there were structural issues with my house that needed addressing. First, (ASR Companies) they dug up the concrete floor of my garage, installed reinforcing posts to support and re-level my garage and re poured the concrete floor. Next, the driveway was dug up and re poured. In the process of breaking up the driveway, a piece of construction equipment called a Ditch Witch backed up on to my front stairs causing them to fracture. They removed and re poured my front steps. My entire basement had to be emptied. ASR contracted a local mover to pack up and store all my belongings. They removed a permanent window and installed a temporary window so that they could access the basement work area without disturbing us. I called them the cave dwellers. They entered and exited the house from the temporary window and I didn't have the opportunity to meet them all and learn their names. They put up a temporary locking door at the bottom of the basement stairs for safety, security and privacy purposes. They removed the carpeting to gain access to the wooden structural floor boards. They removed the floor boards, removed a whole lot of dirt that had expanded and was causing stress on a steel girder under the house. After sufficient dirt was removed to relieve stress on the structure, an adjustment was made to a component called a micro-post underneath the house. They made miniscule adjustments of 1/4 and 3/8ths inches in these posts which resulted in re leveling my house. They let the house settle for thirty days. This minor adjustment that they made caused additional, however, expected cracking of the sheet-rock in other areas of the home. They sent in their expert cosmetic team that restored the house to better than new. They went above and beyond and I can't express enough how pleased I was with their work ethic, their professionalism, their upbeat attitude, their reverence to my property, their commitment, the quality of their work and they were just fun, pleasant guys. I can't praise them enough for getting me through this extremely stressful time and we spent many weeks together. Living in a construction zone is not pleasant. Their was some collateral damage that could not be avoided. ASR Companies restored any and all collateral damage that was incurred during the reconstruction and left my house spotless. Thank you Kenny and Robert and Eddie and Ray and Billy and Andrew and all the hard working folks who's names I never got to know. There was no challenge that they could not handle. <br />"

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Homelake, CO

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
