Small jobs welcome

"Angelica communicated about important details throughout the project. We were installing an expensive steel horse fence manufactured in Colorado. Henry and the workers were meticulous throughout the project as they had to learn the installation process. I am extremely satisfied! The fence is beautiful!"

"EXCELLENT... My team, wife and I have been in Real Estate for 21+ years. Recently, we reached out to 5 fence companies for quotes on our home. Discount Fence won the bid and installed outstanding quality fencing at a very affordable price. Since then, we have referred them to 5 of our clients and the feedback from all of them has been 5 STAR! Highly Recommend them! -Team Fogarty, Lakeway, Austin, Texas"

"It is difficult to coordinate a fence project among neighbors. Our salesman did this well. Our two carpenters were skilled and the fence turned out great. Also, pay a little extra for steel posts. They are likely to last at least twice as long as wood fenceposts. The wind won't blow them over and they will not rot and break.."

"A big chunk of our back fence was blown down by a recent windstorm. Mason was able to give me a prompt estimate, which included fixing the piece that had fallen, as well as replacing some existing posts (so the rest wouldn't blow down next time). He fit us in as quickly as possible, given that unseasonably rainy weather was slowing him down. He and his crew were very professional, and made excellent recommendations to maximize the life of our fence. They were also careful not damage our Invisible Fence wire. <br />"

"Benitez Fencing started working the day after I hired them to replace my perimeter barbed wire fence on our 10 acres. Mr. Benitez removed and replaced the fence within 3 days at a great price. He was very professional and worked along side his crew. I will use him again and recommend him to others. I am extremely satisfied with the work he completed for us. I now have a safe and secure place to keep my livestock!"

FAQs for barbed wire fence installation projects in Hutto, TX

Barbed wire is a type of fencing made from steel wire with sharp edges or points spaced along the strands. It's designed to prevent unauthorized entry or contain livestock by acting as a physical deterrent. Barbed wire fences are often seen in agricultural settings or high-security areas because they're effective, durable, and require little maintenance.

You can expect to pay between $3 and $6 per linear foot for a barbed wire fence, including installation. The exact price depends on factors like material quality, number of strands, wire thickness, and labor costs. If you have a larger project, bulk purchasing and hiring a professional might offer cost savings.

The number of strands you need depends on the fence's purpose and the level of security you want. For a standard livestock fence, you might use three to five strands. For higher-security needs, you may require more strands to meet your needs. Consider your specific requirements and talk to your fence installation pro to determine the appropriate number.

Barbed wire fencing regulations vary by location. In many residential areas, the use of barbed wire is restricted or prohibited due to safety concerns. Before installing a barbed wire fence, work with your barbed wire fence installation pro to check local zoning laws and homeowner association rules to ensure compliance with regulations.

The lifespan of a barbed wire fence depends on the quality of materials and environmental conditions. Fences made with high-quality, galvanized wire and proper coatings can last between 20 and 30 years. Regular maintenance and inspections can extend the fence's longevity by addressing issues like rust or damaged strands promptly.
