"I am having a truly unpleasant experience with 7th State Builders. I paid 14,450.00$ deposit in good faith. They were contracted to rebuild my deck, place a roof structure and screen on the deck. I trusted that they would complete the work. Instead, they took my money and one year later had not even started on the project. Not only did they fail to perform the agreed-upon services for the deck, but I was forced to hire an attorney to try and recover my deposit. Which I haven?t yet (over one year). Thus, creating unnecessary expenses to an already frustrating situation. I would strongly advise against using this company. They took care of the city permit for our deck and fence while we took care of the HOA permit, which made it very easy for us since we only had to manage one of the permits. Cesar and the team at A-1 was very responsive to my emails, texts, and calls which I really appreciated. When building the actual fencing and decking, the workers were really polite and meticulous. Our house overlooks a pretty steep cliff and our door leading to the deck is very high, so I applaud them for being able to create something so beautiful for us given the conditions they were facing. Throughout the process, Cesar updated me on the timeline of everything and anytime I had a question, I could always call him and have my questions answered.
